Of course, the durian party was the highlight for tonight... but we've got to have some proper dinner before that (especially so for the rare few of us who aren't exactly into durians 😅)
Right outside BHG @ Bugis Junction, tiny place but serves good local Kopi/Teh and a nice selection of Nonya kueh and local snacks.
Nothing beats local Kopi and Teh for that mid-day caffeine boost. These Nonya kueh-kueh are surprisingly good, better than Bengawan Solo, less sweet and somewhat more authentic. I like the flavours - Gula Melaka, Rainbow Kueh, Lavendar Kueh (there's a real subtle hint of Lavendar to it), pretty and interesting. Kueh-kueh @ S$1 per slice or S$2.80 for 3, decently priced. Worth a return 👍
Checking out the newly open food market @ Tangs Basement. Nice, but a tad pricey. PeraMakan kueh kueh and pastries, plus selected takeaway cooked meals/bentos too.
Lunch near Changi Expo. Yummy Peranakan lunch and a good value-for-money :)
This was really good! Crispy skin, juicy filling, and not too greasy - perfect with the sweet dip.
