Sweets will always be helpful and where better to pamper yourself than to Les Délices. The cafe has a gorgeous table-top display of choux pastries and cakes which you have to practice self-control from not ordering everything. The cafe even has a recommended list of English and Chinese tea pairings to go with your order. Besides the choux which they are renowned for, you've got to try the Heavenly Chocolate Dome ($10.90), a Valrhona Guanaja glazed dome encrust with 70% chocolate and hazelnut mousse, crispy praline coating and hazelnut dacquoise.

Just located opposite 49 seats, we found ourselves a cozy little pastry shop with clean French interior. I do not like matcha that have an overpowering taste but this matcha choux was made just nice. The lemon strawberry rosette when sliced, appeared a neat harmony of fresh lemon curd with jellied strawberry coulis, sweet & sour at the same time, which is pretty refreshing.

Ex ordinary Lady ($8.50/ slice)
Mothers' day Special, Orange Tart filled with vitamin C.
Tastes a bit tangy and tart. The crust is thin and melt in the mouth.
Off the main road, with a nondescript exterior, you wouldn't have noticed this petite cafe. Especially when it's tucked away in a quiet corner of Kreta Ayer, more frequented by the elderly rather than yuppies. Lovely chocolate banana tart framed by petite macarons.
