Café Hop

My fiancé reserved 2 seats for us via Chope app (without purchasing any vouchers/deals) at this few months old restaurant. Before ordering, we asked the staff if we’re able to use Burpple Beyond & what are the items that it is not inclusive of the deal.

We reckon she might be a new staff, cuz when we asked about drinks, she told us only beer is inclusive of the Burpple Beyond deal 🤔 A much senior staff (probably manager?) took over & clarified only Wines are not applicable.

Food was decent & served fast upon our confirmed order. To our horror upon making payment, the senior staff told us that since we used Chope, we are not allowed to use Burpple Beyond! (I’ve reserved seats via Chope & used Burpple Beyond at other restaurant but never encountered this problem) My fiancé explained that we only reserved seats via Chope & no deals/vouchers were redeemed nor purchased. She insisted that is her company’s policy.

Have any one came across this issue before?

Of all the eggs benedict that I’ve eaten, this has got to be my favourite! Most of the times eggs benedict are topped onto toasted muffin that could get a little tough & hard. At Rookery, their perfectly poached eggs were topped onto brioche which was soft, with avocado spread! You can choose either pulled pork or smoked salmon however I chose the latter. Thank you Burpple Beyond for bringing me on a journey!

Exploring a new coffee joint around Tanjong Pagar-Raffles Place area! Situated at 77 Robinson Road, you'll be spoiled for choices between Old Tea Hut and Mellower Coffee. As Old Tea Hut has a signature Gula Melaka Tea/Coffee and Salted Lemon drink which their queue is constantly very long! You may want to hop over to Mellower for fragrant cuppa coffee! However, do note that the prices on the board is not subjected to 7% GST!

Royz et vous is a halal cafe situated at Telok Ayer, they were recently from 17 Bali Lane. I have mentioned on their Fried Mushrooms with Truffle Mayo some time back and this pasta was amazing as well. Sautéed prawns and crayfish in their homemade bird's eye chili cream sauce! The sauce is really good! It's kind of similar to lemak cili padi in Malay cuisine.

Boufe is situated way out of Tanglin which does not really have any big crowds at night (I was there yesterday for Christmas!) it was really cozy like a little western house celebrating christmas! The food and service was prompt & not to mention, famous instagrammer pxdkitty is a staff there as well! This plate of prawn aglio olio blew our minds as the linguine was done al dente, the prawns were crunchy & the sauce had the tinge of white wine 😋

Plus points of this cafe is that it is kid-friendly! There's a little interactive corner where children are able to colour, draw. Also a little shop too! This cafe sells Thai & Western food which is relatively pleasant!

First time having Shibuya Toast! •$14.80• The toast have this buttery taste and its crispy! Vanilla icecream with banana, strawberries & blueberries, accompanied with whipping cream & salted caramel sauce.

Finally a cafe near my area! The waffles were crispy and soft on the inside while the ice creams were flavorful. Do try their earl grey lavender!

West siders to the North-East! Pretty adventurous on Friday, since it's the Public Holidays - Election Day! Off to Double Scoops for some crispy waffles & ice cream that were claimed of not having stabilizers so that they do not melt easily. Also, they have some flavors that do not contain egg, safe for egg-allergy customers 😊 the earl grey smells & taste fragrant while the orh ni was an interesting flavor apart from the safe options we always order!

The prawns were succulent! The spaghetti was al dente & it was flavorful. You're able to taste the Tom yum & the spiciness kicked in really quickly. Prepare a drink to quench!

Down under the weather but does not stop me from munching on this luncheon fries at Rustic Bistro! They serve it piping hot at your table, you may request for mustard or garlic dip to go with it. I feel that it is a little dry though...

It's Gula Melaka overdose here, won't really recommend this as it is very overpowering, only those who loves palm sugar.
