It was the first time that I tried a duck foie gras. At first glance, this S$26.00 dish looked like two slices of cake that also came with sugar-glazed onions and four pieces of baguette toast. As much as innards might not be my preferred diet, this experience was very satisfying because the foie gras tasted really creamy and gentle after being spread evenly on the baguette. The caramelised onions might be helpful to neutralise the taste a bit, but to be honest it was kind of optional to garnish.
Fret not if you would think that the Homemade Duck Foie Gras Terrine came in huge portions, as it could serve at least two persons, with the baguette available as eat-all-you-want. Just be mindful that you would likely have a main course waiting for you after this.
Available from Monday to Thursday, 5.00pm to 7.00pm, L’Entrecôte offered Fine de Claire Oysters at only S$2.95 per piece (U.P.: S$5.00). With limited stock daily, these oysters were freshly-shucked upon order and tasted really sweet, which was a beautiful contrast from the salt-water that remained on the shell.
Freshly shucked Fine de Claire Oysters during Happy Hour (Mon-Thurs, 5pm-7pm) at L'entrecote at $2.75/pc with a minimum order of 6 pieces. Beautifully presented and served with mignonette sauce, lemon slices, and tabasco on the side. Slurpy goodness and a great appetiser!

Medium Steak with L'Entrecote's secret sauce. Because the sauce is secret, I have no idea what it is made of. However, all I know was that I enjoyed it very much with the steak. It added a lot of flavour, and had a slight sourish/acidic and mushroom taste to it. I went with medium compared to my usual medium rare because the staff advised us that French steaks are on the bloodier side, so a medium rare in their terms would be like a rare plus. So I decided to go with a medium instead. While indeed it was seared to what I usually know as medium rare, the steak itself was a bit on the tougher side, and evidently very veiny. For the price paid and quality, I thought it was rather decent. Not forgetting, the price includes free flow fries on the side, which I enjoyed very much because it was well seasoned and crisp.
Overall, the branch at customs house had extremely patient and friendly staff who all did not hesitate to enlighten us about their menu. The ambience was also great, being a cozy restaurant with a great view of the Marina waterfront.

A surprise location that I have always walked past but never did I enter before! Tried their Trimmed Entrecôte Steak which is their famous dish put together with their secret sauce that tastes like mushroom + black pepper sauce, and accompanied with golden french fries. If you would like to top up truffle fries, an additional $3 will do!
The steak is tender and perfect middle rare for mine, and if you’re someone who loves truffle fries, the top up will be worth it. Otherwise, their normal fries taste alright too! The only thing that I might it funny is the green salad with walnuts that comes in a side plate and the salad flew when the wind blew (laughing emoji)
Will I come again? This might not be the best steak place I have ever been, but definitely the view is one of the best to dine in. Also, for the location and the steak that cost $36.80 per plate, it is pretty steep.
Satisfaction: 🤤 🤤 🤤
Price: $36.80++ for their Trimmed Entrecôte Steak

I’ve never had Pate before so I’m not sure how this is supposed to taste like but it was pretty good! The taste was akin to our “luncheon meat”, and the baguette and picked gherkins served alongside definitely helped to balance out the saltiness 👍🏻 the Pate portion size was decent for two people as well
