Kuishin Bo is popular for its luxurious Zuwaigani (a variety of snow crabs), selection of sushi and sashimi items, plus a wide array of hot dishes and desserts.

They are currently having a Hokkaido Winter (Yuki) special buffet spread.

Diners can treat yourself to this seasonal buffet of premium Japan-sourced ingredients from scallops to salmon roe, Nisihiyama ramen, potatoes, hokke (Atka mackerel), and pumpkin mochi.

There will also be complimentary Yuzu Salmon Yu Sheng for customers dining from now till 8 Feb 2020.

Went for lunch on a weekday, $36.90++. Go for the paper hotpot and black pepper beef. The dessert plate was fun! For dessert, their cakes and warabi mochis were good.

had jap buffet for lunch tdy (don’t usually post pictures of buffet bc like idk how to plate food nicely hahaha but the dessert platter came out pretty cute so why not 😅) the food itself was pretty alright i guess but shoutout to the black pepper beef and the bean sprout egg stir fry these two dishes were bomb that stood out from the rest i literally had like 10 helpings!! (+ they had flavored detox water too which was kinda cool)

in pict is just some of the desserts cuz i only bothered plating and taking photo of my first round hahaha but overall it was quite impressive the cakes were soft and fluffy (plus points to decent frosting/filling that were not cheap cream) + the chocolate in all the desserts (including the chocolate fondue YES THERE WAS ONE) were of good quality they were thick and creamy w no artificial taste :-) the biscuity stuff/cream puffs were fresh and the creme brûlée and ice cream were flavourful (some buffet places they r like too icy or diluted — i loved the mocha one so much they had lil choc chips in them for texture too) OH lastly the mochis omg super good it was so soft and smooth it literally glides down r throat and the matcha/soybean powder is super legit (obvly a dessert person hahahahaha ok stopping myself here)

This buffet chain used to be one of the Japanese-buffet to go but now, this is the only saving grace dish.

When you want a hearty buffet lunch on a weekday but you only have an hour to spare, this is the answer.

The weekday buffet lunch at Kuishin Bo introduced an express lunch option that costs S$24.90 (usual price for extended lunch at S$36.90). In 60 minutes, you can pick up a spread of Japanese dishes, including soups, sushi, tempura, Japanese curry and the popular paper steamboat. If you have craving for desserts, they also offer a decent spread of Japanese sweets and cut fruits.

Don't be upset if your lunch partner is too focused on eating. He's probably maximising his lunchtime to fill his stomach. Just remember to mind your time.

Look at the colour of the egg yolk. I added some sesame sauce. #lunchwithcolleagues
