In my opinion, one of the better dimsum served here — apart from the pau being a little too dense and thick, it comes stuffed pretty full with rather big chunks of meat (some pretty fatty) and the char siew was pretty sweet, smothered in a thick layer of gooey sauce. The fatty parts may not be really something to everyone's palate and the char siew can get a little too sweet for some, but it's actually one of the better paus you can get from a food court/coffeeshop around.

Felt that these are rather hard to go wrong, especially with the translucent skins that weren't too thin nor too thick. The shrimp within were pretty plump, and although there aren't really the freshest around its of considerable quality given Kow Loon's roots from being a coffeeshop stall.

Came pretty much boneless so it makes for convenient eating especially for those who just dislike to deal with boney bits like me. Overall this wasn't exactly bad but felt like it was lacking of quite a few elements — the black bean flavours seemed to die out a little too quickly revealing the porky taste a little too soon, and it lacks chili and yam for a earthier, spicier flavour.

A rather fancy name for the Salted Egg Yolk Bun here. The bun seems to be on the heavier side here, for it feels a tad too dense and stiff while one gets through it into the salted egg yolk filling inside. There is an ample filling within the bun to satisfy, but the salted egg yolk custard leans towards the salty side than sweet and though flavourful, was a little watery for my liking. Not really the best I have had, but rather decent for dimsum coming from a food court.

Had always been wanting to visit the outlet at Kovan/Ang Mo Kio, but they also had opened a branch in Food Junction at United Square some time last year. Had the entire plate to myself and totally enjoyed the smooth and silky rice rolls which weren't too thin nor thick that comes flavored aptly from the savoury light soy sauce and crispy shallots. Inside the rice rolls contains shrimp which may not be the freshest (as compared to commercial Chinese restaurants), but definitely of a good grade considering the stall's coffeeshop roots. A good find in a shopping mall food court; shall make a mental note to come here some day with others for dimsum and congee soon!
