Choose your own level of spiciness and add it to your noodles! There are also 3 choices for the type of noodles available, so don’t worry if you don’t eat ban mian (like my Husband) Lol
The noodles were Q enough, with the poached egg giving a smooth finish to every bite - I chose the Level 1 spicy level but it goes up to Level 3 for you chili lovers out there! 🌶🌶🌶 #kinkinchillipanmee
The generous medley of ingredients and noodles are largely unremarkable. What stands out is the runny, half-boiled egg and the firecracker dry chilli. There’s five levels to choose from, and I find level 3 to be the ideal balance of spicy and fragrant without being overwhelming.
KL Chilli Ban Mee
Food Republic
Vivocity
Taste: 3/5
The bowl looks really ordinary and plain, but once you eat it with their special chilli, you’ll be screaming for more. The ingredients within were well prepared - The ikan bilis were super crispy, the minced pork serving was generous, and most importantly, the egg yolk was still runny, giving that touch of creaminess. Mix it all up and you’re ready to go.
Do remember to add your chilli! Their spiciness levels range from 1 to 5, but I thought level 3 was best in terms of the balance between spiciness and fragrance.
Lobster Chili Ban Mian ($14), it may seem like a pricey dish, but it comes loaded with succulent mini lobsters, pacific clams, sea asparagus and even a mini abalone, all tossed in their chewy ban mian noodles. There is also 5 levels of spicy chili toppings for you to customise.
But then again, no regrets... coz this Dry Ban Mian is damn freaking SHIOK!! 😍
