Pin Wei's CCF is super good! The skin is so light and the filling is simply generous. Not forgetting the sauce of course, it's balanced and flavourful at the same time.
They're freshly made upon order, so you can expect to see a queue during peak hours.

Good quality yakiniku in the heart of town. The A5 Toro Karubi Hokkaido Snow Beef is so sinful but yet at the same time worth every calorie. Melts in your mouth no doubt!

Always in a dilemma between this and Garlicky Wings. Unfortunately, when I went to the Bugis Chir Chir branch recently, I felt that their chickens were coated with slightly more batter, resulting in a lot of fried flour rather than real juicy chicken. Also, I don't like how they removed the complimentary water they used to serve. Their drinks are super expensive and totally not worth it. Sad to say, I won't be going back anymore.
This is like an advanced version of the normal Xiao Long Bao that you get at Crystal Jade. The whole thing tastes like the original version, just with the additional samsui ginger sauce on top. It's a nice touch if you want something different yet not too radical. If you think it's too little and not chicken rice enough, feel free to ask for more ginger sauce!
Worth a try.
Cosy place to chill over bar bites and drinks after work, though the kushiyakis weren't really well executed. A must try is their Pork Jowl ($5).

The secret to a good barachirashi is the seasoning and rice. Sushiro’s seasoning was fantastic. It was flavourful yet not too overpowering, so you could still taste the freshness of fish bites. The ikura was plump and firm too. The rice however, was a little disappointing. I’m not sure what rice they used, but it doesn’t seem like Japanese rice, and it was a little too moist.

No.
Actually, I started this post with “worth a try” because Buffet Town really has a decent variety and it’s not too pricey ($40 for weekend lunch). But after reviewing all the food, I figured that you should spend your money elsewhere.
Perhaps it’s because of its variety and price, Buffet Town attracts bargain hunters – people who have that “kiasu” attitude and won’t hesitate to cut your queues and take more than what they need. This, together with the subpar food quality, greatly affected my dining experience.

The best testimony any open air eatery can get — when you see a truckload of people on a sunny afternoon queuing for piping hot porridge at a coffee shop.
The egg is cracked into the bowl just before the pipping hot porridge is poured in, so part of the fun is actually digging for the egg yolk and quickly mixing it into the porridge. Doing so will give you a creamier texture.

If you’re a fan of oysters, crabs, and durians and don’t mind local fare being the main highlights of the buffet, this place is great for you.

Worth a try.
Rather plain and average food, but great place to relax and watch the world go by. Perfect for that me time or that long overdue catch up.

Go! Edge at Pan Pacific has always been my all time favourite buffet place, but this holidays I was slightly disappointed at their festive lunch buffet. The cold cut station really wasn’t impressive and the refill times of many of the dishes were really long. Nevertheless, it’s worth a try.
Be impressed at their dessert station!

The bowl looks really ordinary and plain, but once you eat it with their special chilli, you’ll be screaming for more. The ingredients within were well prepared - The ikan bilis were super crispy, the minced pork serving was generous, and most importantly, the egg yolk was still runny, giving that touch of creaminess. Mix it all up and you’re ready to go.
Do remember to add your chilli! Their spiciness levels range from 1 to 5, but I thought level 3 was best in terms of the balance between spiciness and fragrance.
