The Riverview Hotel has a new pastry chef, and she hand bakes these yummy breads daily.

Not too sweet, with a soft chewy texture, and slight crunch from the oats. So addictive, we placed a special order for several loaves to go!

It comes piping hot with a layer of gooey malt sugar syrup slathered over the chunks. It's always a rapid scramble to grab the chunks and dunk them into the iced water provided to harden the malt.
