For Porky Pig Lovers
Love this stall in Hong Lim Food Centre as it sells very aromatic and yummy roast. Wanted to have the pork ribs but it was sold out. Still the char siew and siew yoke are just great and for $4 only. Value for money.
This char siew is really gold standard though it’s name is set to differ from this restaurant’s normal char siew. The meat comes from well selected pork belly and not too fat. Fact is the fat on these pork belly are not the very fatty type but the crunchy to bite type. Oh another thing is this restaurant is the one in National Gallery not the one named Yan Palace in Chinatown.
Yummy Spanish suckling pig with crispy skin and thin but very tender meat. Accompanying it are peach and onions making it overall tastier. Love it lots.
At $1.50 each this may be expensive but it’s really tasty and worth the money. It’s well marinated and tender. The peanut satay sauce even has pineapple sauce in it making the combination really yummy.
If you ever managed to snag a meal time here you should inform Chef early for this. It’ll come out sizzling hot and smelling yummy. Crispy outside and tender inside. It’s not overly sweet. This is just one of the many items he has that needs advance order.
In the little town in Sounkyo, Kamikawa Japan just opposite the Mt Kurodake Cable Station there is a western eatery that serves great western meals like pizzas, pasta and steaks. So if you're there and miss western meals visit this place. The pork steak I had was tender and juicy. Topped with their local tomato sauce that is slightly acidic and spicy the whole meal is really yummy. 👍👍👍
It's a steal for $168. Very crispy skin and tasty meat as the piglet is freshly roasted. Best of all is that the skin is not too fatty so the bite is just skin and not too much fat. 👍👍
For some reasons this eatery's prime rib is so much better than some famed Bak Kut Teh eateries. As seen in the photo all you need to do is use the chopsticks and the tender juicy meat will just come off. The soup is flavourful too. Really yummy yummy yum yum yum. If you're going for all protein dish try this. Each meat ball is handmade by the stall owner who has lost his right hand. Yet he has produced one of the better Bak Chor Mee around. The meat ball is tasty with bits of dry fish minced with the meat. For $3 it's truly value for money. Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 January 13.
Very tasty and flavorful ribs. It's slightly sweet and sour like sweet and sour pork. This is another non-herbal dish that is available in this eatery. Yummy yummy yum yum. Posted by Ah Leong San 2016 January 11.
Very tender pulled pork and just the right number of sliders for a meal. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 September 23
For a buffet place The Carvery makes really good pork knuckle. Crispy skin and most importantly tender and moist meat which many places can't get it right. Yummy. Posted by Ah Leong San 2015 August 28
