Feeling refresh after having such bowl of cooling dessert this afternoon. Creatively served in the small pot with handle that no one has done, I'll probably go back again for their mango dessert.
I have always dismissed hk Sheng kee as a fast food chain type of cafe so I hadn’t been so keen in trying their menu .
I was craving for a hot bowl of dessert and there were almost no other alternative at Raffles City so this was the only place .
The 50 percent eatigo was also quite a push factor for me and hence I went ahead to try .
I must say that I am pretty happy with this bowl of dessert- not too sweet and the sesame rice balls were cooked well .
I should give their wanton noodles a try next time because they look no different from those served at crystal jade or imperial treasures .
Typical QQ HK noodle was good but portion too small la 😉

Can’t decide to have almond paste or sesame paste? Maybe it’s time to have both at the price of one!
This is a pretty filling bowl of hot dessert of viscous, creamy and nutty paste. It’s a simple presentation but it’s comfort food.
The type with fatty meat and salted egg yolk. This cafe has the big dumpling whole year round and not just during dumpling festival.
The only downside is you need to wait 20mins for them to steam it.
It's worth the wait as it's quite cheap. Less than $8 for one of these large ones.
We rate the dumpling 7/10. For dumpling lovers this is the place to go off season.
The HK milk tea and wanton mee also worth recommendation
First up, their ✨dry dumpling noodles ($6.90) were firm and springy, accompanied by thick, succulent dumplings that were bursting at the seams! My favourite dish: Their ✨mini yolky custard paos ($2.90) which turned out to be not-so-mini after all!! Careful when you tear these pillowy balls open, you don’t want a single drop of molten salted egg custard to go to waste!!! Protip: get them to steam it a little longer; in a previous visit, the custard was all cold and clumped together. Today’s buns were a VAST improvement!!!👏🏻
