Hjh Maimunah Mini (Westgate)

Not sure what happened but this time it's warm and so so much more delicious than the previous time. The meats were perfect, and rivals the original branch. Not sure if it's a permanent change of staff, or just inconsistency

For half a ckn

Very tomatoey, very sweet but it's somewhat spicy too

Kangkong was pretty decent, quite spicy and rather salty

Sambal goreng jawa was more average. The tofu pieces were on the firm side and the sauce was quite different from normal

Prawn was very big, a little mushy

Bittergourd was terrible, very salty

Sliced beef in black pepper sauce was good, just like the original branch

Skin was thick and chewy in a good way, the gula melaka was liquid. You can imagine how good it is when you bite into it

Absolutely lovely, one of the best versions I've had.

The beef rendang spices were seriously unique. However beef was average

Eggplant wasn't brined enough, the veg itself was tasteless. Sambal was ok, quite spicy but nowhere near as good as their main branch
