My SIL bought the Mont Blanc for our family gathering. One of the better Mont Blanc around, rich chestnut flavour, smooth texture, not overly sweet. Better than Angelina patisserie’s IMO.
Somehow I was under the impression that Henri Charpentier is everywhere lol, turns out only Vivo and orchard(oh wait why isn't the tanjong pagar branch on burpple?)
The bottom layer which was the cream cheese layer was soft, crumbly, and had a pronounced savoury taste. The top layer had a much higher fat content, and lighter in texture. Unfortunately the cream doesn't seem to be of high quality as there's a greasy aftertaste. And unfortunately when you have both layers together, the top dominates and you get a light cheesecake without too much flavour. Average
Absolutely disappointing for their standards. Flavour was amazing as per usual but HOW WAS IT COLD? IT LITERALLY SAID FRESH OUT OF THE OVEN??? probably don't get stuff at this outlet, Henri is known for their outstanding quality
Probably the first of its kind that I had eaten thus far, this Baked Tiramisu (S$3.50) was said to be made of mascarpone cheese from Italy for the sponge cake, and later infused with coffee syrup to become this petite cake to go with a nice cup of coffee or tea.
In my opinion, while the cakes captured most of the flavours expected of a conventional Tiramisu, I was really hoping that the creaminess of this classic dessert was not lost in the innovation.
Very nice, melts in your mouth
