Vegetarians, rejoice! This joint serves up chilli 'crab' sliders (made with enoki mushrooms) that hit the spot. P.S. The set comes with a side of fries and a drink as well.

Can’t decide whether I like it or nah, I’m inclining towards nah :(
I feel like it could do better with more salt and both me and my friend agreed that it is wayyyy too oily as the mantou was deep fried
I could taste the oil gushing out of it while i chew.

You know those places that proudly declare they serve “hearty Vegan food” but don’t quite live up to it? This isn’t one of them. Meat is great, but these gorgeous Mantou Sliders and that hunky Jack Cubano (both $10) can GET IT any day. Only with a 1-for-1 on Burpple, of course 👅

$10 for 3, it was really good and tasted a lot like crab. Good, frill-free pop up eatery. Although don’t expect a proper seating area.

Came here mostly because I was curious to try the plant-based patty. When eaten together with the creamy soy mayo, fresh lettuce, tangy zucchini pickles, sweet basil ketchup, and salty Kroodi Cheez (cashew “cheese”), you really do get the burger experience. The final sear on the patty also gave it a slight char, which improved the flavour profile.

However, if you eat it on its own, the illusion was shattered for me as the “patty” was more on the spongy side (almost like mushrooms). Yes, it’s moist, but since it comes pre-cooked, it’s hard to get the medium rare/medium juiciness.

Compared to the Beyond burger, we didn’t enjoy this as much, as the “frittata” made from tofu and zucchini was a little under-seasoned for me. The two layers got smushed into one after the first bite as the frittata is very soft. Texturally, this needed more than the beetroot chips to counter that.
