This place has the best XLB for me . The menu is extensive . Their chilli is awesome, all the usual lamien / steam & pan fried dumpling dishes are delicious and it’s very reasonably priced . I’m not going to DTF or IT anymore . This place is my new to go for authentic northern Chinese food

Been here several times already and the food is always consistently good. Super tasty too. They also have private rooms upstairs which is great as we love to bring guests or friends here to enjoy the food. Recommend!

My rating: 5/5 ⭐️

The fish was tender, succulent served in tasty, numbing and not too spicy soup based.
Will prefer if the fish debone.
💰$37.8.

One of the best renditions around and great sweet end to the meal. Flaky thin pastry sandwiching natural-tasting red bean filling.

Even though this is one of their signatures, it fell short of our expectations. I wished I could taste more of the seafood sweetness since the egg white kind of overpowered everything…

Nevertheless, I love their XLB, Fried Dumplings, Chive Egg Pancake & JJM!😋

Fav dish was the 拔丝芋头 bcos the taro was melt-in-your-mouth soft and fluffy. The caramel layer was too thick for certain pieces, it could have been a thinner, more uniform layer. The 辣子鸡,炸酱面 & 锅贴 was average. Expensive also

Specifically travelled here for their xiao long bao and fried dumplings with leek & shrimp but ended up having other favourite items 😂

Ordered the xiao long bao ($5.80 for 5pcs), fried dumplings with leek & shrimp($8.80), Beijing styled noodles with soybean pasta ($6.80), steamed chicken with chilli sauce and kelp side dish.

Xiao Long Bao was flavourful, and skin was relatively thin yet chewy. The fried dumplings with leek & shrimp had a layer of crisp to it and the skin was chewy too, but seemed overwhelming after having quite a few. Kelp side dish was good in balancing out the jelak-ness of the other dishes.

My favourite two were the Beijing styled noodles with soybean pasta and steamed chicken with chilli sauce. The noodle texture was chewy and really good while the chicken was cold and appetising.

Price point was really good too, will be back to try other items in their menu!

The dish we preferred most for our meal here though still average. The fried dumplings had a pretty juicy filling of pork and shrimps. The slightly crisp base was thin and not too greasy. I would have liked it fried a little bit longer for a better crunch.

This comes in 3 sizes and we went for the small that had 5 pieces. Had pretty high expectations for this, and while decently seasoned and each of them had a good amount of broth in it, we found the filling too mushy soft for our liking. Skin was a bit thick as well.

Noodles had a good bite, but unfortunately our bowl was quite salty as a whole. The sauce had a strong peanuty smell, but the taste of it wasn’t as distinct (which was a plus for my preference). The saltiness aside, it had a likable tang. If you’re one who needs more heat, they have chilli on the side to add on.

Smooth and chewy skin dumpling wrap juicy meat and Fried till the crust very crispy, but the inside still juicy.
💰$8.8 for small.

Cracking food in a convenient location just a couple of mins walk from Jalan Besar mrt. Sweet potato noodle hot plate shown, 15.80. Generous portions and rich in flavour. Pan-fried shrimp/pork/leek dumplings were the standout dish.

Hand in Hand has been around since 2004, bringing authentic northern Chinese cuisine to Singapore. Everything is hand-made and fresh, and prices are very reasonable too!

Pictured is the braised tofu ($8++) with a nice fragrance of peppercorn spices and just slightly spicy. Do note that this dish might be very bland for some, as they don’t really put salt in this (or maybe just this time?). But I still enjoyed it because it brought out the clean tofu taste more as a result.

Pictured is the scallion pancake 葱油饼 ($5++), fragrance of the scallions were there, and it was not overly stuffed with scallions like some found elsewhere. I like that it wasn’t too oily so we could finish it without feeling stuffed.

Pictured is the XLB ($5++/5pcs) which was filled with soup! It was tasty though I hoped the skin was a bit finer.

Pictured is the deliciously juicy and crispy fried dumplings with shrimp and leek ($7.80++/8pcs). Really like this dish because of the thin golden crunch at the base. It resembles how some Japanese gyoza are presented but theirs is a ‘netted’ structure which makes it much airier, crunchier and not as filling! Highly recommend this dish 😋

Steamed Crab Roe Xiao Long Baos($9.80) - 8/10 Not bad, small portion of meat and soup, mais skin is bien tho. Pork soup is authentic, not too heavy,so it's enjoyable.

Fried Dumplings($8.80) - 8.25/10 crust is crispy, skin has chewy texture and porky flavor. Portion of Chives and meat are in good amount, really good tasting dumplings. Pork oil is infused into the dumplings. With Soy Sauce and ginger,it is delicioux. There were prawns in there too, what a pleasant surprise!

Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles($6.80) - 8.5/10 Smell the spice even before the mask is off. Nuts are legit, crunchy, tgt with the noodles, which can taste the handiwork, the Sichuan spice and salted veg are obvious.Fragrant and flavorful. Good bowl of Dan Dan noodles.

Well worth the long wait for this Three Cups Chicken. Well charred in the claypot with a slight complexity of flavour from various condiments used.
