Comfort Asian Food 🀄️🏮🧸
This was umami in every bite, and it tasted so good on its own we went without the extra sauces provided. For $32 this was a bit steep for 4pcs tho
Decided on Thai from the many cuisines they offered and WOWOOWW this was downright delicious- from the intricate fried omelette to the tender chicken breast to the piping hot tasty Thai kuay teow. Love that they provided extra chilli. Very authentic and delicious!!!
Portions are generous, and it was thoughtfully served with shredded fried egg and a huge spoonful of fried rice grains. The seafood broth was flavourful and I liked that reviews said it was MSG-free. However the rice was dry and hard and failed to complement the broth ☹️ their truffle chilli oil noodles that my friend ordered fared better.
Fav dish was the 拔丝芋头 bcos the taro was melt-in-your-mouth soft and fluffy. The caramel layer was too thick for certain pieces, it could have been a thinner, more uniform layer. The 辣子鸡,炸酱面 & 锅贴 was average. Expensive also
Generous portions for authentic 东北 cuisine and friendly unpretentious customer service. Everything on the menu is great and I recommend you to try a dish you haven’t tried before chances are that you will like it. This place cooks really tasty dishes tho a tad oily but #worthit!!! The 凉皮 transported me right back to snowy 哈尔滨 city 😭
Second time here n ordered the same dishes as my first visit: 叫花土豆,麻辣鱼,豆腐牛肉 😍 will come here again n again to order the same dishes again n again
Mapo Don ($10.50 nett). Tofu was silky, but was a bit more q than your standard silken tofu. Cooked in a thick and spicy mala sauce drizzled on chewy pearl rice, this was a great rainy weather lunch 😋 soup was surprisingly delicious too, could taste hints of fried egg?? Will be back to try their dandan mian
Sis brought us here bcos it was a “homely cosy restaurant selling the best naans” n she hit the nail on the head! What a hidden gem. Their butter chicken n garlic naan were my fav 😋
Super value for money gem in Toa Payoh heartlands!! More fish and thicker slices than Hankee @ half the price
Thick, creamy n fragrant soup filled with generous chunks of fish slices. Easily the star of our zichar dinner!! This filled our cold bodies with warmth on our rainy Tuesday evening 🥰
This underrated teppanyaki joint greets you the moment the escalator brings you into the Food Republic foodcourt. It serves up hot piping teppanyaki at affordable prices - black pepper beef set (-$15) and grilled salmon (~$20). Been here twice bcos the partner loves his food smoking hot 🔥
Walked 500m from sweechoon bc it was too packed on a PH afternoon. What luck 😋 fav dishes were their liusha bao that came with generous piping hot liusha n was covered with crispy boluo bao coating (pictured), XO fried carrot cake packed with umami (pictured) n the thick creamy century egg porridge that could feed 2 pax (not pictured)
