tip: come with a friend and have the all-toppings-curry rice bowl and add on chicken namban so that you get to try all the ingredients they have. the rice bowl comes in quite a big portion and should reasonably feed two average eaters. for dinners, they also offer an option to change your base of rice/multigrain rice to tofu - not currying for any favour (i funny right π) but honestly canβt wait to try this already!

thank you carol @caroltee_ and team @fujiyamadragon.sg for having us!
Went with level 2 spice (highest is 5) and it was a nice balance of a mild heat, savouriness and sweetness. The curry itself wasnβt as robust as I would have liked, but still works! Would also recommend the multigrain rice over the white rice as it had a better bite. The all toppings option we had came with a little bit of everything, basically a combination of the other options on the menu - prawns, cheese, egg mayo, crab cream croquette, pork katsu, pork belly and half boiled egg.
Each plate also comes with a cup of paitan soup, meant to be added after youβre almost done to get a more savoury ending with a porridge kind of consistency. Wouldnβt say itβs the best curry but yes, value for money (rice upsize is available too)!
Thank you @fujiyamadragon.sg for having us and @gnohznaij for the invite! ππ»

First things first they've healthier choice options like changing your white rice to brown rice/tofu for free which I appreciate! On top of that, each order comes with a complimentary cup of chicken soup and you can choose the spiciness level from 1 to 5.
I love spicy and I try to choose healthier options so I went for tofu base and level 4 curry. It was not spicy at all - which is terribly disappointing. Pork katsu was normal but there was some chewy thing in it that's alittle challenging to bite and break - could be the skin or fats? Idk. But that was not pleasant and cutlet tasted normal.
Honestly I had above average expectations since this place is new and all but I've to say coco ichibanya's curry rice gives me much more satisfaction.
Setting themselves apart from the many other Japanese curry houses available in Singapore, this outlet serves up paitan soup that allows you to add into your leftover curry and rice, turning it into a porridge-esque dish. Personally didnβt like the soup so I left it aside. The serving isnβt huge, even after a free upsize, so donβt be fooled by the appearance (big bowls seems to be a thing with Japanese restaurants). Decent curry but not great, worth trying if youβre around the area. Shopβs pretty small and cramp, so go solo or bring just a friend along.

Help yourself to the free flow of roasted barley tea on the table.
The plate looked π rather shallow but the serving turned out to be rather filling.
Most customers ordered level 4 and 5 for the curry. I tried level 1 and 3 which was just hint and acceptable. Help yourself to the chilli powder on the table should you want more kick.
Donβt forget to leave a bit of curry π rice π behind to make curry π porridge by adding the accompanying paitan soup.
