Every visit to Elijah Pies feels like a feast for the eyes—their creations are nothing short of artistry on a plate, and the Wild Berry Lavender Pie is no exception. With its vibrant swirls of jewel-toned berries and delicate lavender-specked cream, this pie is as visually stunning as it is delicious.
Our group of nine shared a whole pie for a celebration, which proved perfectly generous in portion.
The flavor? Each bite felt refreshingly light(Not too sweet), yet deeply satisfying.
And let’s talk texture: the crisp, buttery tart base held its own against the lush cream topping, avoiding any hint of sogginess. It’s that ideal contrast—crunch meets cloud-like smoothness.
[KAKI BUKIT, SINGAPORE] A cafe in the East that serves up pretty decent cafe food with huge portions! @cafebarcosg sells quite a variety of cafe food options and we tried a couple of them.
For the mains, my choice item would probably be their Chicken Katsu Burger 🍔 ($17.80). This came in a humongous portion, with a huge slab of fried chicken cutlet and quite a sizeable portion of fries. The katsu itself was juicy, bun was well buttered, and the fries were decent. Other main options like the Mentaiko Egg Mayo Sando 🥪 ($8.80) were good as well, as it was jam packed with eggs in mentaiko sauce.
If you feel like you want something lighter, their Ham & Cheese Croissant 🥐 is quite decent as well, as it was aromatic with its buttery flavour! For desserts, their tarts ($8) can't go wrong, though we didn't like their Madelaine nor their Canele as they were too tough.
For drinks wise, Orange Americano & Strawberry Matcha Latte are good choices, as the former is refreshing, while the latter is really rich with matcha flavour. Love that it isn't grainy!
This is a cafe you can consider in the east! Thank you @eatwithkeat for inviting and @cafebarcosg for the food!
These are obviously deep-fried and not pan-grilled, but they're quite nice. I kept popping them.
J4 Double-Boiled Peach Resin (Hot) - Regular

I like lamb but didn't know it comes with tripe, which I don't eat. The noodle used is broad, not thin, therefore I didn't enjoy the meal. The soup was okay but not stunning.

We came on a weekend, so maybe the menu is more reduced, but besides starters and desserts, they only have pizzas. No pasta, or mains. The pizzas are very good, but there are other places in Singapore where the pizzas are as scrumptious and with more options. At $60 per pax, it’s poor value.
