Yummy and delicious. Will definitely return to try other dishes. Not so generous portion though.
Fish and chips is crispy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. Which is unique compared to the typical fish and chips.
Worth the 35mins wait for the chicken to be served! Could not resist to use my hands to finish this meal! Taste and texture was great and delicious!

The Mac โnโ Cheese was wonderfully cheesy, goey and melty with a browned top. It seemed small but I almost couldnโt finish it (could be because some parts had nacho cheese, which I think is overpowering but thatโs just personal preference).
Loved the mushroom risotto too, smooth and rich with a distinctive mushroom taste. I also tried their flat white here, which I think is more reasonably priced than other cafes and it came with a cookie too!

Really liked the texture of the cake as it was somewhat like a blend between mochi and cake. Lava was also fragrant. Served warm with banana and ice cream. Not too sweet and pretty thoughtful, so worth a try
Quite a bit of seafood taste in the creamy risotto which was on the softer side, but pleasantly so. The highlight has got to be the well grilled seafood though, literally bleeding juice all over the risotto and supremely smoky as well.
Exceptionally generous amount of crabmeat, and you can easily tell it's not the frozen kind. Rather addictive too from the ample amount of chili flakes, carries a real heat
Porcini Risotto had a lot of mushrooms๐ the baked cheese topping the dish was quite fragrant. Only reason why it is only ๐ is because it wasn't salty enough. Crabmeat Spaghetti Aglio Olio had significant amount of crabmeat๐ but the aglio olio itself was not wow, slightly bland.. Went there for lunch and the inside was pretty empty. This place serves a lot of alcohol, more than the number of mains/sides. I guess it might be more crowded at night.

Cooked in seafood bisque, the rice was al-dente just the way I like it and bursting with flavour. Along with fresh, succulent shrimps and scallops, I was really impressed that everything came together in perfect harmony!

We didn't know etto was the restaurant/bar outside Cathay, along the way to plaza sing! So we spent sometime walking one round around Cathay in search of this place. I must say the nasi lemak was surprisingly good! The fried chicken wings were v well marinated and reminds me of Victor famous fried chicken wing taste? Meal companion was also v amused that the drumlets had their meat pushed down for easy eating. Apart from the wings, the coconut rice and sambal chilli was fragrant too! I didn't really like the egg though! I would have preferred an egg omlette to go with the nasilemak rice! The prawn crackers were also shiok when you dip them in the sambal chilli sauce! The nasi lemak rice surprised us! (And lunch companion was mega proud of his decision to pick this dish haha)
As for my order, I picked the mushroom risotto! Which had quite a number of good reviews on burpple and IG. I quite like the parmesan crisp! Gave the risotto a good differentiating texture. The risotto was also the kind that you won't get sick of after a few mouthfuls.. just that I needed some meat in my meal too (eyes the nasi lemak chicken wing! ๐) Btw, we visited this place on a Fri night, so it was quite noisy w all the chatter from those who were there to drink and chat. (It was actually not that crowded just that the walls don't absorb sound)

Had the lemon butter seabass (~25) which was slightly drier than I expected, but still pretty good. However the vegetables were a little bland and unflavourful. Had the seafood risotto (~26) as well which was pretty good (compared to how it looked) and would probably be back for that !

Medium rare ribeye topped with red wine reduction sauce and accompanied by sides of roasted baby potatoes and creamed spinach. The steak went well with the sauce! Will go back again and try other sides. Service was pretty good.
The worst dish of the night was the Forest Mushroom & Zucchini Pasta ($18++) that we were initially served. It was so incredulously salty in a way that all 3 of us unanimously agreed we couldn't eat past the 1st bite. I even wanted to spit my food back out onto my plate (but thought that'd be impolite).
I rarely send my food back to the kitchen, but this was a necessity because they were seriously too heavy handed with their seasoning. Gave them feedback & they were very open to it, & apologised; the dish that returned had pasta that was actually a different colour maybe because they omitted the seasoning. & tasted fine without all that salt. But probably wouldn't order that again.

However, the other dishes were unfortunately not great - the Australian Prime Grade Grass Fed Beef Rendang ($18++) sounded promising, but they could've seasoned the beef a little less. Texture, however, was good - & paired with the rice I suppose it was passable.
Lifehack: If you order the Etto's Beef Burger ($18++, didn't take a picture) you probably can't taste the black pepper glaze & would find the meat patty bland. So to solve this problem, put some rendang sauce over it to make it all better.

It took a while for our food to arrive, but it being a busy night & I had good company it didn't matter that much to me. Other than that, the service staff were fairly attentive & friendly - thumbs up for that.
The overall experience here was honestly confusing. 1 good dish & the remaining 3 being inconsistent in that the tastes ranged from very bland to very salty. What gives?
The only good dish out of the 4 we ordered: Porcini Risotto ($18++). Smooth, creamy & delicious. Would definitely come back here just for this.

Will recommend their seafood risotto.
The avocado juice was tasteless
$25 but good deal for 1 for 1! The fish is very fresh and it is a good combination with the butter sauce. Will definitely go for it again ๐๐ผ
Porcini-infused risotto that made me savour every bite. Not every dish can make you go "wow" at the first mouth, but this did!
After years of walking past this place, finally realised what a chill eatery it is. Plus perks of people watching. Also, the service is delightful, with the staff asking us hows the food. Thankful~
