Was very worth it for its price! The fish is fresh and firm, and the rice was nicely seasoned.

The cute bowl is a bonus of course :)

Unagi Don - $21.90

Thick piece of unagi eel grilled and layer onto of rice, with shredded egg lay by the side. The unagi is so thick and tender, overall quite oily also even after grill. It’s really quite an indulgence for such a big portion, can consider sharing a bowl with you bestie instead and order a bowl of their classic bara chirashi don to even out the taste

En Sushi

Situated along Prinsep Street (5 mins’ walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT), this newly opened sushi joint offers sumptuous Japanese dishes at wallet-friendly prices.
For just $10.80++, this colourful bara chirashi don is undoubtedly En Sushi’s best deal. The fresh cut sashimi chunks such as salmon, tuna, yellowtail and octopus were well-marinated and neatly piled over a bed of vinegar-seasoned rice. The portions were pretty generous too for the price!
P.S. The Minced Tuna Belly Sashimi Maki was great but probably not so worth it.

But I have to say I was not super impressed.. there was absent a wow factor for me.. Maybe replacing the cucumber in the salmon aburi maki with something softer would make it have more of a melt in the mouth texture. I miss the tasty maki at #barashitei which appears to be permanently closed πŸ˜₯ should have patronised it more.

Salmon Fish Head Miso probably should have been cooked with less Negi (and vege if any). It tasted almost more like a vege soup than miso soup. Vege taste overpowered the miso taste.

There wasn't a queue when we reached at around 7.40pm on a Friday and there were a few empty tables inside.

Although the food was quite meh, it was still a great dinner as there's great company! @meihongc 😊

some other menu items also seemed to have faced the same price inflation πŸ™πŸ™ But ok while it may not be the cheapest, it is certainly one of the better quality/generous salmon don i've come acrossed so far.

There were 10 slices of salmon sashimi and each slice was SO thick and luscious it had me doing a mini dance while eating my don, seriously 😝

Oh good news is that their Bara Chirashi Don remains at its famously low price of $10.80. But i guess thats one of their strongest selling point so if the price had increased confirm will put off many from visiting right πŸ˜‚πŸ’πŸ» #burpple #burpplesg #whati8todaysg #salmon #sashimi #donburi #japanesefood #japanesecusine #salmonsashimi #whati8today #sgeats #sgeatout #sgfoodie #sgfoodblogger #sgfoodies #sgfoodlover #sgfood #sgfoodhunt #sgfoodhunter #sgfoodtrend #myfooddiary #sgfooddiary #sgfooddiaries #sgcafe #sgcafefood #sgcafehopping #sgmakandiary #foodforfoodie #foodforfoodies #foodexplorer
