Located at Holland Village, Ginzaย Kamoย Soba Kyudaime Keisuke under @ramen_keisuke is a duck ramen specialty restaurant. Do note that only duck options are available here. All ramen is served with slices of premium Irish hybrid duck which is favoured for its ample fat that adds to the tender texture and rich flavour.
As I did a little research before heading down, I decided to give their duck meatballs a miss and went with the The duck pieces were indeed really fresh and tender! I love the broth as itโs really rich, thick and flavorful. The broth was really robust and creamy as duck bones and herbs are added to the stock and simmered for at least eight hours.
Though I really did enjoy the broth, it got a little jelak when I was halfway into the bowl of ramen. Thankfully, they provided a small dollop of yuzu paste which helps to cut through the thickness of the soup. Otherwise, take a break from the bowl of ramen and go for their seasoned bean sprouts at the side to cleanse your palate a little.
Overall, itโs a pretty small and cosy space to enjoy a good bowl of warm slurpy ramen.

Hybrid duck broth ramen
Rich soup w egg - $16.90

I asked for normal soup with less duck oil & normal noodle. If you donโt like the taste of duck, remember to tick less duck oil, if not the soup might get unbearable for some people. The duck slice was very tender! Paired with standard fish cake and egg. Not your usual ramen, worth trying at least once

Kamo Soba Hybrid Duck Ramen
@ramen_keisuke
After a dramatically overextended, uninspired, illogical, gin-fuelled hiatus in writing any reviews over the last few weeks, @thintbites is seemingly back with an even greater gap in his writing than ever before, courtesy of procrastination and a forgettable sense of the word. It has been a long time coming but I suppose with the flow of things being ceaselessly inconsistent alongside the pretentiousness in my gourmet literature rising to an all time high, writing at a doable pace would be the most appropriate option in my personal opinion and decision.

With that being said, letโs kick start this bad boy again with the one thing that I hold closest to my heart, that may very well ironically and eventually clog it up if I were to consume too much of it. Weโre talking about ramen, and its myriad of possibilities and flavours shaped from decades of culinary endeavours. The place in mind is a very special place, being my favourite ramen shop in the entire world. Ginza Kamo Soba Kyudaime Keisuke is a humble little abode nestled in the heart of the village of beer towers and happy hours that is Holland Village. Weโre talking about Keisuke Takeda here, who in my opinion is the most legendary ramen chef in the history of modern ramen culture. His ramen empire in Singapore is a majesty to behold with a total of 19 outlets worldwide, of which 14 of them are in Singapore.

With numerous specialty ramen shops incorporating fresh new takes on the infinite joy and abundance of ramen, Ginza Kamo Soba Kyudaime Keisuke is just one of the geniuses of Keisuke Takeda, and stands to be my favourite ramen combining two of my favourite things: Ramen and Duck. Their Hybrid Duck Broth Ramen with Flavoured Egg in Rich Soup ($16.90++) is the crรจme de la crรจme in the world of ramen. This beauty features a robust, warm and sensational broth flavoured with duck bones and herbs, topped with two gorgeous slices of Irish hybrid duck with the perfect noodles to soak up every last drop of the quack.

From wonderful customer service to the alluring charm of the complimentary hard-boiled eggs and toppings galore, this is the one place to be for ramen and ramen.
you'll have to pay me to eat it again.
Tsukemen ๐คข ($14.90++): "It's as though they squeezed duck perspiration into the tsukemen broth" - unfortunate birthday boy @shazech
The pork based ramen were more palatable and decent altho not as good as the other branch specialising in pork broth.
The ribs we ordered to share also had this gamey taste tho.. not sure if it's flavour retained in my mouth, or the "cross contamination" of the gamey flavour frm the hybrid duck in the wok prev.
I won't return to this branch.. I don't uds why ppl might like this branch if they do..maybe if they want to lose weight? I lost all appetite for abt a month aft having this, now slowly on the way to finding my appetite back. Love the lobster #keisuke branch tho!

Opted for hard noodles but noodles still came off as slightly soft.

My first try. It's really nice. I chose it in clear soup. It's just nice for my taste. Yummy. They have free flow of boiled eggs and bee sprouts. Water included too. We ordered their gyozas too. Everything's great. Left with full and happy stomach. Definitely to be back again
Tried the hybrid duck broth ramen in both broths available. The rich soup is definitely more robust in flavour and is quite similar to tonkatsu but not quite as intense in flavour. The clear soup is milder on the taste scale, but significantly surpasses the rich soup in addition of the yuzu paste which really makes it ๐๐. Each bowl comes with 2 slices of duck, bamboo shoots and spinach. The duck has a nice side layer of fat with a slightly raw midriff (was a little too raw at first tbh) and was thick with a nice bite. The meal comes with free flow hard boiled eggs (their eggs here have a softer yolk thatโs not the gross powdery kind!! And eat with the kewpie mayo for a bombz combination) and seasoned beansprouts. Service is quick and place is small but comfortable, would definitely recommend trying out the rich soup, or clear soup with addition of the yuzu salt ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Comes with 1pc seaweed, 2pcs roasted duck ball, 2pcs low temperature cooked duck, flavoured egg and spinach ใ$19.90
We tried both the rich and clear broth and I preferred the light herbal broth. Not a fan and rarely take duck meat, Iโm probably still not used to the taste of duck meat and find it difficult to swallow these 2 slices of expensive duck as they came with a really strong smell. They do provide yuzu chilli paste which helps a little but it kind of defeat the purpose of having a hybrid duck ramen. The duck balls were ok and the rest of the ingredients were to same with their other outlets.
