Overall, I would definitely recommend this to my friends and I will be back to try the rest of the menu. I would say along is both affordable and tasty but do take note of their operating hours and drop by early as their rice bowl sold out fast.

If you happen to step into Tanjong Pagar, you would realise that there is a new extension just outside Tanjong Pagar station. The curiosity in me could not resist exploring the new wing and boy... I glad that I have made a right choice!

18 hour Sous Vide Jowl bowl & Grass-fed Black Angus Sirloin were both mind-blowing! Originally I did not know what I was having until after my meal I GOOGLE it and realise I was actually eating pork cheeks! The strips had the right portion of fats and meat, thus giving it a tender and chewy texture. The cheeks were apple wood smoked for 18 hours, giving it a hint of sweetness and smokiness to the meat. Let's not forget, the 63-degree sous vide egg, giving the dish a savoury taste.
Fine quality ingredient matters. This is strongly proven at this take away joint in Tanjong Pagar Centre. It has 5 bar stools if you prefer to eat there, if available! The Iberico pork jowl (cheek) slices over moist rice with umami sauce, with onsen egg, i also added asparagus. The jowl was super melt in your mouth tender and moist with a slight char taste as it was grilled in a josper grill. The special sauce that moisten the rice compliments the meat nicely. And the onsen egg was just perfect! And.. their homemade chili sauce is excellent, dry chili infused sauce with a hint of coriander. A value-for-money meal with superb restaurant quality meal, i'll return soon to try their other signature: black angus sirloin!
The signature and best seller is the Grass-fed Black Angus Striploin, glazed with French red wine (Bordeaux) sauce and yoghurt sauce.
If they have salad options (cos I am cutting down carbs), will go to them more often.
Put a posh spin on your desk lunch and step out to this takeaway shop in Tanjong Pagar Centre for Josper oven-grilled meat rice bowls. There are currently three options for your protein β Grassfed Black Angus Sirloin ($14), Thai Basil Grilled Chicken ($9) and the much talked about 18hr Sous-Vide Jowl (pork cheeks, $12). All the meats are smoked with apple wood for more depth and complexity, and served with premium Japanese Yamagata Haenuki rice plus a 63-degree sous-vide oozy egg. Vegetables like Asparagus and Cherry Tomato on Vine are at an additional $1 each. Pro tip: Take Burpple Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua's advice and be fearless about stirring in the zingy chili they serve on the side!
Avg price: $15 per person

The Yamagata Haenuki rice that was just fluffy and sweet, even nicer when had with the red wine sauce and mi-cult egg!
