Finally managed to try this Singaporean style ramen and I totally love it! The hong-kong wanton and the potato wrapped prawn was definitely the highlight. The potato and the prawn compliment each other, giving a crunchy texture while the prawn gives a tad sweetness. Β

Instead of using the traditional ramen noodles, Mee Kia was used thus giving a springy texture which totally surprised me! Now I know why A Noodles story receivedΒ Β Bib Gourmand in 2016. I just wished the opening hours could be longer as I was missed out!

Grass-fed Black Angus Sirloin was sweet and tender! Marinated and cooked till medium well with the in-house red wine sauce. The beef was not dry at all and with those fluffy rice, I could have this any time have the day!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this to my friends and I will be back to try the rest of the menu. I would say along is both affordable and tasty but do take note of their operating hours and drop by early as their rice bowl sold out fast.

If you happen to step into Tanjong Pagar, you would realise that there is a new extension just outside Tanjong Pagar station. The curiosity in me could not resist exploring the new wing and boy... I glad that I have made a right choice!

18 hour Sous Vide Jowl bowl & Grass-fed Black Angus Sirloin were both mind-blowing! Originally I did not know what I was having until after my meal I GOOGLE it and realise I was actually eating pork cheeks! The strips had the right portion of fats and meat, thus giving it a tender and chewy texture. The cheeks were apple wood smoked for 18 hours, giving it a hint of sweetness and smokiness to the meat. Let's not forget, the 63-degree sous vide egg, giving the dish a savoury taste.

Hokkaido Izakaya highlight is actually you can get to upsize your soba for free! With the selection of 100g, 200g or 300g. Furthermore, they served free flow of Onsen Tamago too! This is a great for carbs and protein builder out there!

Do be mindful that you do need to wait awhile before your meal is served as the buckwheat soba is freshly made after you order.

Do heed the advise of the staffs, I tried attempting 300g and I was Soo bloated. The texture of the soba was ok, as it did not have the al dente texture but still have the slurping shiokness. As for the beef slices, it has a chewy texture and mixing with the Onsen, it gave a hint of sweetness and savoury taste.

Overall, it was a simple and decent bowl of soba. Oh! You can add some tempura bits if you prefer to have something to munch on. Do take note Hokkaido Izakaya lunch menu has a limited selection, but their dinner has a much larger variety.

Genki highlight was the Unagi. It was uniformly caramelised and the meat was soft. Beside the Onsen, which I think it's one of the best creation, the roasted pumpkin was also great! Giving the dish its sweetness and enhancing the fragrance of the dish.

I am still not use to eating the quinoa, maybe I should have just ordered the ninja rice (Japanese rice and brown rice).

Oh! Do take note all price are nett. So don't worry about calculating those extra plus plus after your meal. I will be back for my next visit to try their toast and sides.

Currently taking over the former tenant Department Of caffeine (DOC), ninja bowl runs a healthy bowl and brunch concept.

The highlight for Yasai was the salmon as there were generous chucks of salmon given! πŸ˜‹ I just can't stop munching them! It may not melt in the mouth kind, but they were fresh. The other highlight was the onsen egg, when mixed well it gave the Quinoa ( seed, like cereal) a creamy texture.

However, there were misses in the dish, the quinoa was a bit bland, maybe I am just not use to it? As for the sultanas (dried raisins), it was sweet, however there was too little of it. And Maybe they can put in some handmade sauces to go along?

Overall, it was still a decent experience and I have yet to try their French toast which is quite popular. Currently aloha poke bowl is still my favourite.
