Although I can be harsh, usually when I criticise a place, it's with the hope they improve. This however was so bad I felt they should cease to exist. How do you serve such lousy beef when you're a beef eatery? And when people think of beef soup, they don't expect such run-of-the-mill soup. Considering they charge significantly higher than hawkers, those failures are unforgivable. The dry noodles were tossed in an interesting peanut-like sauce, but to be honest it seemed more like a shortcut.

Dropped by Daniu Teochew Beef Ball 🐮🍢 the latest concept from the people behind @daniuteochewseafood ! 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙪’𝙨 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙉𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙡𝙚 ($10.80) featured fresh 𝙩𝙤𝙥-𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚-𝙘𝙪𝙩 𝙜𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙞𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙛 🥩 which was cooked to the perfect doneness and 𝙝𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨 which were bouncy and flavourful 👍 The beef slices, meatballs, kuay teow, and beef broth made an excellent and comforting combination 🥺🥺

The 𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙪 𝘽𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙖𝙡 ($15) was what surprised us the most 😲 We don’t usually opt for innards, but we had nothing but compliments for this! There was a generous portion of 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙚, 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙛 𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙚𝙩 🐮🥩🍖 - the 𝙜𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙪𝙘𝙚 which coated the offal was just irresistible 😍😍 The tripe did not have any gamey smell too! The brisket was also SO tender after soaking up all that delicious sauce 🙈

𝘿𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙪 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙉𝙤𝙤𝙙𝙡𝙚 ($10.80) features a 𝙨𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙 (🦪 oysters, fresh clams, and 🦐 prawns). We had the dry version which came with a bowl of “meepok” 🍜 drizzled with some peanut-like sauce. Although the noodles did come with a slight alkaline taste, the hearty broth tasted really clean and not enhanced by MSG, and still had that seafood flavour! 🫶

The 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙈𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙥 ($9) comes with 6 massive 🤯 homemade meatballs. The broth 🍲 that it came in was made from slow-cooked pork bones and was really tasty. While we did find that the meatballs were on the rubbery side, this was still a solid bowl! 👍
