Pandan infused glutinous rice balls served with caramelised banana slices, gula melaka, and ondeh-ondeh ice cream
.
The pandan glutinous rice balls are warm and chewy, which goes well with the caramelised bananas slices, gula melaka sauce and ondeh ondeh ice-cream
.
Satay with a twist
.
Grilled chicken thigh doused in fragrant satay sauce and comes with a plethora amount of vegetables; potato mash, crunchy asparagus, roasted baby carrots and vine tomatoes
.
The fragrant nutty satay sauce complimented the juicy chicken thigh
.
The Thai Style Beef Linguine has beef slices and mixed vegetables in a sweet and sticky Thai sauce. This had a unique flavour but it isn't my kind of thing.
The oven baked chicken thigh comes with baked Japanese sweet potato, asparagus, baby carrots and cherry tomatoes. This was rather healthy and tasted like an upgraded chicken chop, just that the chicken was quite salty 😅
The signature main courses were much more delicious than they sounded on the menu! Thumbs up to the ovenbaked chicken thigh which came with a baked sweet potato ($16 on menu); Thai-style beef linguine - a concoction that worked ($16); and even the chicken cutlet cream pasta ($8 for kids, with juice). This place is under the radar, despite offering tasty food, generous portions, and seats next to the Jewel waterfall! Entertainer app subscribers enjoy a 1 for 1 deal on the mains, pasta and pizza. There’s something on the menu for everyone! We will be back.
Invited for tasting menu, a grasp of this dish as below:
**As this was a tasting portion, it was halved, you could get more out of this from the price!
What I got: Grilled chicken, chicken sausages, ribeye, lamb ribs, Japanese baked sweet potatoes, carrot, asparagus, bbq and satay sauce.
Grilled chicken - Very very dry, dipped into either sauces and it didn't help the meat at all.
Chicken sausages - An unpleasant taste felt through our tongue and we didn't appreciate it, you may taste differently but we definitely don't like it.
Ribeye - At medium, it was seared to a nice pink but the lack of seasoning drops the rating and sort of tough to chew.
Lamb ribs - WOW! This is magnifique! By far the best dish of the night, although there's a slight gamey factor, the fact that my partner who does not consume much lamb just dive right back for a second helping. Lamb was rich in flavour, glistening throughout, a masterpiece in this otherwise non-harming plate of meats.
Specials mention: baked sweet potato done just right and balances out any oily touch on your lips.
The rest are just there to bring colors and compliments these meats.
In whole, I don't really think this plate is worth it's value considering only the lamb ribs are the only worthy meat in there. As such, we do recommend just the lamb ribs on its own and savouring these only are worth the calories as well.
Overall taste: 2.5/5 (all points to lil' lamb that saved the day!)
