For dessert, you definitely gotta try Carousel’s signature Bread & Butter Pudding which is freshly baked using a 40 year old recipe and comes with a side of vanilla sauce! So rich and creamy, this is the perfect decadence to end your meal!

Carousel from Royal Plaza on Scotts, voted the best Buffet restaurant in Singapore by the AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards for 7 consecutive years, is now offering halal-certified family bento sets, solo bentos and ala-carte dishes for islandwide delivery to your doorsteps!
Featured is the Around the World Family Bento Set ($65) which includes a delectable spread of Wok-fried Honey Rock Sugar Glazed Chicken, Spanish Stew of Prawns, Clams and Mussels, Traditional Sayur Lodeh, Chinese Fu Yong Egg Omelette, and Nasi Briyani. My favourites are the Wok-fried Honey Rock Sugar Glazed Chicken and the Traditional Sayur Lodeh; the former is sweet and flavourful while the latter is light and comforting!

Food party time! Buffet is always great for celebrations especially for big groups of family and friends. It is also good for office team lunch. Everyone get to choose what they want to eat. Great variety and unlimited serving is definitely a big plus for gatherings.

Featuring the lunch buffet at Carousel in @royalplazaonscotts Carousel buffet serves international gastronomy! From Mediterranean, Asian, Korean, Japanese fare, a lavish seafood spread, French Rotisserie, and delightful dessert stations! We were all spoilt for choice and so impressed with the amazing spread! There were hits and misses! Love the Teppanyaki, Pasta and Kebab! Of course the desserts were amazing too. They even have Salted Egg Yolk ice cream. I didn't try it though haha.

Carousel was also Voted the Best Buffet Restaurant in Singapore at AsiaOne People's Choice Awards for 7th consecutive year! Well done! 👍

It sure was a nightmare for almost half of my dept who suffered from diarrhoea after dining at Carousel.
.
Probably not because of these pretty alluring sweet treats (look at all the choux puffs, macarons, cakes & choc fondue 🤤🤤🤤) but still, i wont be returning.

Happy 元宵节 my friends! So how many times have you louHEI this Chinese New Year? 😉

A tradition that encapsulates all the best wishes & aspirations for the year ahead, this is a personal favourite for veggie lovers like me! 💚💚💚

I believe many would agree that the best part on the plate would be the crispy crackers that signifies abundance of GOLD (wealth)!! ⭐ Other crunchy veges drizzled in sweet plum sauce are equally appetising! 😋😋😋

HUAT AH! 💕
Royal chocolate (left), 70% guanaja and 66% pur caraibe, was slightly bitter, although its hazelnut feuilletine was shiok. Chendol (centre) wasn't good. It didn't taste like chendol and, worse, it didn't taste nice.
Dinner ($83++ for dinner buffet, till 19 August only). Carousel has always been my colleague's choice destination for our company functions, since it caters to a wide range of tastes and it's halal. And now they now have two guest chefs from Royal Park Hotels Japan to dish out authentic Japanese flavours with dishes such as Ika Meshi (Boiled Squid stuffed with Rice), Umaki (Roasted Eel wrapped in Omelette) and Tai no Marine (Marinated Sea Bream). We also had several premium seafood such as otoro, lobster and king crab legs.
🔸
Besides the Japanese specials, they still have their premium homemade ice-cream counter, where there are thirteen flavours to select from, but now with three special Japan-inspired flavours – Mint Yuzu, Matcha Adzuki with Raisin, and Wasabi Cheese.
🔸
The Oishii So Japan! dinner promotion is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at $83++ for adults and $49++ for children.

Sandwiches between the two soft and fluffy brioche lies a minced chicken patty that’s juicy, flavorful, coupled with a tangy tinge of spice from the kimchi. The kimbap somehow reminded me of the California sushi instead, with crabstick, egg, cucumber embedded within the sticky seaweed-wrapped rice. Fries are thick and crisp, pretty mediocre. The iced summit tea is a complimentary beverage that comes with each burger set, refreshing but could have been better if it was more citrusy and less sweet. If you are lucky enough, there’s a mini trump-kim burger giveaway on 12 june, 12 and 6pm. Managed to be one of the lucky ones to ‘sample’ the burgers first before heading on for the complete set✌🏻. On a side note, service here is rather lacklustre for a hotel, with inattentive staff that makes it a challenge to grab their attention. Furthermore, we had to repeat our orders thrice to different staff. .

Salted Egg 🥚 Yolk & Chendol ice-cream on freshly made waffle
One of the items available during lunch buffet (S$56++/ Adult) at Carousel in @RoyalPlazaOnScotts
The waffle was airy and crisp. The ice-cream was rich and creamy without too sweet.

Celebrated my boyfriend's birthday by bringing him to the Weekend Lunch Buffet at Carousel last Sunday.
The overall ambience and service were good. Food was not fantastic except the chicken at the Teppanyaki Station. That was really amazing and we went back for 2-3 more servings. No kidding. It was that addictive.
We had higher expectations for the desserts because of their huge varieties. They actually have a few stations; serving cakes, ice cream, and even chocolate fondues. They were, however, a disappointment. For example, none of the ice cream they serve goes well with waffles and yet the ice cream and waffles are in the same station.
Enough said about their desserts, I was actually quite upset that I didn't manage to try their Seafood or even the Cheese & Salad stations. 2 hours is just not enough to eat at Carousel. They have so many stations, so many varieties, that I'm spoilt for choice. Also, there's a limit to my stomach space.
Overall, I really love dining at Carousel. Their service is excellent! 👍🏻 It was very nice of them to also include a complimentary birthday cake slice for my boyfriend and many others who were there to celebrate their birthdays!
I'll definitely go back again for special occasions ☺️
This is one of the many many many dessert options from carousel buffet. The seafood (crab crab and crab? Prawn. Sashimi) is fresh, oyster is very salty lol. And a lot hotplate options. And maybe like three rows of desserts. Now addon a lot selections of icecream. Most of the customers (maybe 7 out of 10 tables) are here to celebrate bday. The stuff will sing bday songs and give a little show and a slice of free cake. The atmosphere is great and stuff very happy and friendly. Add to costy list as wine is a must when celebrating
For special occasions or for when we're in the mood for a big old feast, the buffet selection at Carousel never lets us down. With Halal-certified kitchens, this buffet stalwart is well-known for its generous variety and reasonable pricing (lunch $56 weekday, $$65 weekend; dinner $76 weekday, $83 weekend), making it the perfect spot for large group gatherings. The spread features a wide range of global cuisines including Mediterranean, Indian, local Chinese and Japanese, along with a laudable fresh seafood selection. From whole salmon and steamed sweet clams to ocean fresh oysters and slipper lobsters (lunch only) — there is plenty for seafood lovers to go gaga over. The sweet toothed on the other hand would be hard pressed to find something more decadent than the spread laid out at the four dessert stations, which includes an ice cream "parlour" with 13 flavours on rotation. Pro tip: This space fills up fast, especially on weekends. Reservations are essential.

You'd be hard pressed to try and find another thing in the world as beautiful as a plate piled high with fresh seafood 😍
Carousel really had it all, good roasts, fresh seafood, fragrant Asian cuisine, and seductively sweet desserts.
The hotel itself is beautiful and lovely to stay in. But they also have a halal restaurant downstairs. Check out my review on the staycation experience now on www.foodievstheworld.com. @royalplazaonscotts
How adorable is the 🐒 in #RoyalPlazaonScotts #CarouselBuffet's magnificent Mushrooms Mosaic Yusheng ($158 small, $188 large)? It features eight different varieties of mushrooms: crispy ‘monkey head’ mushroom, enoki mushroom tempura, porcini mushroom powder, braised Bai Lin mushrooms, dehydrated oyster mushrooms, button mushroom crisps, shiitake mushroom jelly and pickled black trumpet mushrooms.
Here we have... rose and chocolate fondue. I was looking forward to the 3 different fondue but they only had 2 fondue when I visited them. I guess the matcha fondue went for a Christmas holiday.
Seafood international buffet on Christmas day! This is one halal international buffet with a wide spread of seafood. Non-stop spamming on the seafood and sashimi 😄
