With the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, buffets where we help ourselves to an array of dishes laid out as a spread are no more. Self-service buffets are a thing of the past.
Hello, a la carte buffets. No more looking over the buffet spread or watching the chefs prepare a bowl of laksa. It has now evolved to a la carte buffet where we can order as much as we want from a menu chit before food is prepared and served to table in perfect portions. Although this changes the standard buffet experience, we get to spend more time with our dining partners and food wastage is significantly reduced.

Shin Minori offers a reasonable variety of sashimi ranging from tuna, salmon, yellowtail, octopus, cuttlefish and spicy seared tuna. What's more? They serves very fresh sashimi in hira-zukuri cut that makes it so much more enjoyable and satisfying.

Shin Minori serves mini hot pot too! It comes with a choice of single/double flavour soup base ranging from miso, clear, spicy miso and spicy clear soup. They have a variety of combination such as assorted vegetables & mushrooms, chicken, pork, beef, seafood, salmon head and yellowtail collar mini hot pot.
Featuring here is their seafood mini hot pot that comes with assorted vegetables, mushrooms, prawns, mussels, scallops, baby squid, tofu and noodles which we paired it with their clear and spicy miso soup. The spicy miso soup felt normal at first but it sorts of burns the throat after swallowing.

Steamed egg custard masked with egg white foam, pink sakura denbu and tobiko.
It was my first time trying a chawanmushi that is sweet and savoury at the same time and it turned out surprisingly good. The steamed egg custard comes with shiitake and narutomaki and sweet layer of egg white foam was something that changed the overall taste and texture to this dish.
