We spent $40-$50 per person, for 2 Mains and 2 Signature Margaritas, with tortilla chips on the house! The food and drinks were SUPER yummy and close to Mexican food I've had in US! Portions are generous too. I'll definitely go back again.
Last night I tried the Chicken Chimichanga at Café Iguana. This Mexican appetiser consists of a deep fried burrito stuffed with chicken, a variety of grilled vegetables on top of rice and served with a generous dollop of guac and sour cream.
The vegetables were perfect! They were soft, fresh, and delicious. With every bite, I could taste the love that they put into their food. I thought the guac and sour cream provided a refreshing touch to every bite. However, I didn’t enjoy the chicken as much. Make sure you eat the food quickly, because once the burrito gets cold, it doesn’t taste as good.
Served on a wooden platter, the ambiance of the restaurant was pleasant and had a sweeping view of the Singapore River and CQ. I am on the quest to find the best Mexican restaurant in Singapore, and this may be it!
This restaurant is a bit on the pricey end, but is perfect for celebrations.

Chilling with this ice cold ‘frozen’ margarita.
Always excellent service.
Decided to try something new today so I ordered this dish. It comes with two tortilla rolls containing their signature red snapper fried to a nice crispy texture, served with a side of rice. It is topped with a peppery and lightly spiced sauce that coats it nicely. Will order this again.
Portion size good for sharing! Taste wise was 3.5/5. Steak was good but the dough was a tad too thick and dough-y.
Whole chunk of guacamole and sour cream layered on tortilla. As little surprise as the shredded steak is hidden in the layers of cream.
However, the shredded steak was dry.

Deep fried flour tortilla filled with bananas and served with caramel and strawberry sauce and avocado ice cream
Did you know that they have over 50 tequilas??! Interesting flavors in these ones- the Tesoro tasted of olives! Anyway, Adding Cafe Iguana to my brainless go to list for Mexican food. Hearty flavors of massive portions plus their super strong margaritas. Written them off for being a tourist trap for too long. I beg you mercy, please feed me with more tacos and chimichangas. Lotsa love @msskinnyfat 😘
Located along the Singapore River, Cafe Iguana is a Mexican restaurant that boasts over 100 labels of agave tequila and mezcal, speciality-brew Iguana Lager, famous signature margaritas and authentic Mexican food. 50% off all margaritas during happy hours! Please read my review at www.hungryghost.sg
Churros with chocolate sauce n vanilla bean ice cream. Churro is crispy n tasty. Chocolate sauce too little.
Not so sure about the vegetable stop. And yes, it's a megarita behind. 1.2litre of frozen margarita goodness. This was followed with tequila shots, Coronas, vodka cranberry and finished off with artisan shots at Chupitos on a night of debauchery. Very happy to announce that all these mexican food stayed in the stomach.

This is [Pibil Pescado in Red Chile Sauce S$30++ inclusive of a SG50 Margarita or Iguana Lager]. The featured local produce here is Seabass. The salsa here taste like sambal, Seabass is fresh and tender, served together with Mexican rice.
Happy hour at Cafe Iguana ($40 for a jug of magaritas before 7pm or after 10pm). Waiting for my buddies to arrive, I managed to instagram the moment. Brings us back to our JC days n years ago 😅
Pricing of food was rather expensive between 25-40SGD (how did we afford it back then??). Food was so so. If I will be back it’ll be for the happy hour original/peach magaritas (which was beyond sad after it melted in an hour) and the one tiny bowl of chips and salsa. Nice chill out atmosphere along Singapore River at Riverside Point. Don’t expect much from service - very crowded so just keep waving to get attention.

Don't judge the food by its looks, they confirm make you food coma.
What's Mexican food when there are no tortilla chip and salsa dips.
Lets order some hot fuego wings to burn🔥 overselves. Its hot but not that spicy enough for me, still tolerable.
Had Burritos as I never had one before other than the KFC version. Savoury mexican rice, borracho beans, cheddar and mozzarella wrapped in a flour tortilla with shredded steak in it. Mmm...... Together with the hot sauce they provide, totally shiok.
My friends got their Chimichangas and Fajitas. Not forgetting to mention about their margaritas drinks which is recommended also by my friend. If not opt for the refillable selected soda if wanna save some bucks.
