Ramen is usually a restaurant setting dish, thus at buta kin, by serving at a hawker centre setting, ramen here is more affordable and thus able to eat more regularly.
Serving here at buta kin is affordable and portion is adequate. @$7.50, there are 3 big portions of Cha shu, noodles were springy and easy to eat.
Soup was a little blend thou, will get a spicier version next time.
Heard Buta Kin before since opening Downtown Line back when I still studying poly around 2015 and didn't really wanted to explore there at that time. But I think I should be making a trip to Beauty World for food and my friend said I will be doing it most of time. Travelling for food is one thing that I wanted to do most of time. If you didn't what to order from Buta Kin, you should be ordering Special Tonkatsu Ramen ($7.50) and trying their broth and ramen out. Oh yes, they got different kind of broth from original, black (garlic), red (spicy) and vegetable (non-meat) and making a lot of variety for the Tonkatsu Ramen. I didn't really like their ramen and it's quite normal tbh. Their charshu was really hard to chew lol and don't be impressed me at all =.= but their half boil egg made me so wow and got that yolk flowing out. I really wanted to try Top One Handmade Noodle and also BIG BOYS Sizzling next time for lunch :")))))
Apart from being really affordable, Buta Kin serves up hearty, slurp-worthy ramen!
Their slice of char siew is perfectly torched & the fats melts also instantly, while still holding it's shape.
Noods wise, their springy ramen holds up till your last mouthful. Broth wise, their thick, Tonkotsu flavour bursts, and with the addition of the black garlic, there's an extra oomph to it.
One neednโt break the bank for decent food! Beauty World Food Centerโs tenant mix is really eclectic. Youโve got korean fusion joints next to old school ban mian and char kway teow. This hawker-style ramen comes with a whole flavoured egg and 3 thick slices of pork belly charshu. For a limited time, you get a free noodle upsize! Iโm done.
Truly unbeatable value for ramen. Buta Kinโs ๐๐ง๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ก ๐๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ช ๐๐๐ข๐๐ฃ (~$7.90) isnโt your usual heavy-pork broth style, opting for a lighter, smoother (cleaner?) base.

I didnโt have high expectations considering how I just happened to walk past this, but the char on the cha shu was well done, emphasising the lean meat while contrasting the fatty bits. ๐๐

Equally as impressive was the ramen egg, though not perfect, the yolk was gooey through ๐ฅบ

Itโs not the best esp the broth, but at this price point, definitely worth checking out.

Had the Black Tonkotsu Ramen ($8.60) and as usual, it doesn't disappoint me with the thick charred pork slices.
Although it is stated they closed at 8.30pm, I only reached and only ordered about 8.28pm and they opened all the way till 9pm.
