"You don’t need a plane ticket to satisfy your aroy mak cravings anymore — just head over to @baankanomthai.sg, tucked away in Jalan Besar. Indulge in a variety of traditional Thai treats, including the rare Kanom Krok, a classic coconut-rice pancake snack.
Even better, you can elevate your foodie experience with our #BurppleBeyond 1-for-1 deal on Thai Pancakes, available in two flavours — Pandan and Sweet Potatoes. (We LOVE the Pandan one!) Hungry for more? We’ve got you covered with 1-for-1 Soup/Curry and Noodles to satisfy those hearty meal vibes.

Surprised to find this in Singapore. I'm not some super fan but can eat lor.
the restaurant is in entertainer app for 1-1 deals but the server did not allow this to be redeemed and had a lot of conditions, the deal of 1 free item could only be used if the total cost exceeds $30. and then the free item has to be not exceeding $15. so i was just a little surprised that the terms and conditions are that many when it is not stated on the entertainer app.
Miss K and I are big fans of Thai curries which come in many varieties. They share a common base of shrimp paste, lemon grass, galangal and other aromatics and it is the layering that gives each type of Thai curry its unique colour and flavour.
We really liked Baan Kanom Thai's yellow curry seafood which features squid, fish, prawns and even crab! The rich and savoury yellow curry with its earthy and gingery turmeric flavours really elevates the rich and savoury seafood. I really cannot believe that this costs only $18!
We came across Baan Kanom Thai when Miss K was remote working at ARC380 in Jalan Besar.
They are perhaps better known for their Thai snacks and desserts but their creamy crab omelette fried rice is definitely not to be missed!
I love that they serve their crab omelette with fried rice instead of just plain rice. The fried rice is tasty on its own with a nice hint of wok hei. I would have preferred the egg omelette to be a little more moist and creamy. At $12++, Baan Kanom Thai is very very generous with their crab meat. There were loads of well sized dollops of flaky crab meat on top of the creamy omelette, and their portions were certainly not small.
I did not come with much expectations tbh but now I am craving more as I speak!
Stir-fry glass noodles with beansprouts, carrots, chives; opted for chicken which came with generous portion of tender meat; came with sugar & chilli flakes at the side; topped with a fried egg..
