Great coffee but pricey.

I’m late to the Arabica party but I can understand the fad over it. Walking past the store, you can already smell the aroma of their coffee. But tasting it was even better. Their roast is strong, smooth and, well-balanced. Not harsh with a jarring acidity, but easy on the palate. The iced Spanish latte had a good tinge of sweetness to it, nothing too overwhelming yet enough to balance out the bitterness. It came together to make a milky cup of coffee with a smooth and slightly thicker than usual consistency. While I enjoyed it, I have to admit that it’s slightly on the higher price point.

Finally got down to trying Arabica! The iced matcha latte was thick and creamy, and was not diluted at all. However, the matcha flavour isn’t as rich or authentic as you’d get in Japanese matcha-specialises cafes, but that also means that there is less of the slight bitter notes - which I believe some may also better appreciate! Ultimately, $9.60 for a cup of matcha latte is extremely expensive. While I don’t know under what circumstances I might get this again, if you like creamy iced matcha, this might be worth a try.

Many will know this brand of coffee, and they really don't disappoint. The Iced Dark Latte ($9) was very bold in flavour as usual, and has a good chocolate flavour. Great if you like your coffee sweeten! The Iced Latte ($8) was also really good, with a very good coffee fragrance. Slightly bitter, just the way I like it! But yes it's expensive coffee HAHAHAHA so once in a while 🙃

Originated from Kyoto, % Arabica was founded by a man who wants to live a simple and down-to-earth life and needs an amazing cup of coffee every day. It’s a beautiful belief and I could really resonate with this philosophy of founder, Kenneth Shoji.

The Cafe Latte ($8 for tall) was milky and smooth, with a good balance of nuttiness. The star is surprisingly the Matcha Latte ($9.60 for tall), it beats any of the major coffee chains hands down. Even with the milky body, you could taste the richness of the matcha. I would probably not return for the coffee, but I will certainly be back for more matcha latte when I deserve a treat! 😌
