An Açaí Affair (Telok Ayer)

An açai affair is one of our go-tos for consistently reliable yummy açai. Triple A was a smooth blend of sweet açai crowned by a plethora of jewels - bananas, blueberries, strawberries, dragonfruit, kiwi, goji berries, and your choice of drizzle! Also decided to try the Greek Physique which replaced 1/2 of acai with a bottom layer of yogurt. The yogurt provided an enjoyable sour tang albeit when mixed with the açai did taste more like berry yogurt.

We used to patronise Acai Affairs frequently when 1-1 on Burpple. They are no longer on burpple, but still a treat we’d willingly spend on, especially on sweltering hot days.

Besides açai, they offer @fizzicle Kombuchas. A reliable local brand with a colourful array of kombuchas that we find not as sweet as commercial ones and with distinct fizz and tang .

Ordered the Triple-A. At $9.90, the medium size is priced a cut above other acai joints but the quality makes it completely justified! Super generous with their nut butter and granola especially. The acai is not chunky or watery at all, it’s more like soft serve than anything. Definitely top spot on my list of acai places in SG. Located on the upper floor of a street of shophouses in Telok Ayer, the place is easy to miss and has very little proper seating, but it’s empty on a weekday afternoon so the vibe is all good.

Açai Affair is by far my favourite of all the places that offer acai in Singapore 🥰 It’s even better with Burpple Beyond. Just found out that it costs an extra $1 for almond butter now.

Super worth it for the Large size using 1for1 deal. Bit stingy with the fruit toppings though.

Got their nutty party ($14.90) which comes with banana, granola, nuts and cacao nibs. Top it up with almond butter 😋

huuUuUuUGE. tried 2 diff types of butter, cookie butter and almond butter, and must say that the cookie butter was way too sweet for us lmao (think lotus biscuit concentrated liquid form). almond butter is nice. acai base not icy like other places which is gud
