A bowl created by Chef Mano Thevar, Bombay street with a twist - basmati brown rice, corn and chana dhal kichdi, pumpkin vada with kachumber raita, curry leaf crumb and crispy onions. I loved all the flavours, especially the vada but wished there was a bigger portion of dhal and raita as I had excess rice which was a little dry on its own. All bowls by Bamboo are plant-based with meat and low-carb options at additional cost (plus $3-$5).
Bamboo has a unique concept where you order through their app and use the app to open your pod for collection. Although the main goal is for a contactless transaction, my main gripe is that the process was not as seamless as expected. Not only do you need to download an additional app that is only unique to this store, they only accept credit card payment (no ApplePay yet though they’re working on it according to an employee) and each pod can only hold two boxes - meaning that if I do a large order for my table an employee still has to hand me the food boxes. Cool idea but not practical with form over function…? We probably spent more time with the employees trying to help us download the app than a typical system with an employee taking down our order.
Loving the play of words - this chicken rice bowl is 446 calories according to Kipos’ website. Brown “chicken” rice, sou vide chicken, carrots, cucumber with home made chicken rice chilli. I was really full after the meal and pleasantly surprised at the chicken rice taste it had - definitely sufficient to fulfil any chicken rice cravings without sacrificing your calories.
At 2 bowls at $8 with Burpple Beyond - mega worth!!
I like W Açai because it’s an affordable quick fix for any açai cravings with Burpple Beyond. It’s not my favourite açai place, but the bowls are still delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The only feedback I would give is that the bowls are inconsistent, I’ve had watery açai from this outlet before.
Try their latest flavour - Cookie Monster (in the background, look at the amount of cookie butter!!) if you are a cookie butter fan! It would definitely satisfy any biscoff cravings.
Açai Affair is by far my favourite of all the places that offer acai in Singapore 🥰 It’s even better with Burpple Beyond. Just found out that it costs an extra $1 for almond butter now.
This was my first time visiting the branch at Park Place Residence PLQ and I think it’s my favourite. Situated at the ground floor below the residences, there is a lovely outdoor seating area. I’ve never seen the poke bowls so full and generous before and the staff were very friendly! Definitely going to be visiting this branch more often.
Super filling, yummy and healthy Japanese styled bowls - the runny egg tops it off 🤤 It’s super worth with burpple beyond. They have 50% off every second bowl on weekends too!
Spicy salmon could have been spicier and the egg was sadly not runny even thought it looked promising but it was an alright poke bowl!
This was a lovely set, perfect for a cold rainy day. The hotpot just kept giving! Filled with generous slices of mock meat, tau pok, enoki mushrooms and tofu cubes. I really appreciated the bowl of you tiao which soaked up the light yet comforting broth.
Made tastier with Burpple Beyond!! ◡̈
