Wasn’t a big fan of the doughy skin here although the filling was decent. Would have liked a better crisp!
They actually travel to toa payoh from tiong bahru. The auntie even travel up from the west side to meet them there to da pao these curry puffs.
And here I am, with a bag of curry puffs that were handed over to me for snacks.
Definitely 1 of the better curry puffs I had, better than OCK.
Eat it whilst it's hot
Mention Tip Top Curry Puff and most folks living in the AMK will remember the popular stall in a kopitiam near AMK Jubilee theatre.
The folks behind Tip Top have franchised their brand and have set up a new curry puff stall in Toa Payoh. Though I must say, it's kinda strange to have a stall named AMK Curry Puff in the heart of Toa Payoh.
I kinda like their puff pastry. It is crispy thin and the "comb" is buttery crisp. The filling though is rather disappointing. The curry puff is "half empty" and the potatoes themselves are rather bland. Not a big fan tbh.
This is the original tip top curry puff from Ang Mo Kio, and taste wise it is definitely better than old Chang Kee. Crispy on the outside, and filled with generous hot fillings on the inside. Yummy!
The curry filling has a good mix of chicken, potato, spices and egg.Â

So we saw the owner of AMK Curry Puff and gave him a curry puff T-shirt! The look of joy and happiness when he saw the puff on the shirt was priceless.
Though uncle is old, he still oversees the processes in the kitchen, ensuring crispy handmade goodies.
