From the Burpple community

Scrolled through Burpple's Bugis category juust to find something cheap, saw this and cravings for BKT just took over woohuu. Got the pig stomach soup while my friend got the BKT, both of which were $6 (all the soups were minimum $6). Very peppery and shiok. Our usual cheap tactic is to just sit there and talk and have soup refills 🙃

So the total price for this meal was $29 and it was for 2 people. Okay so we ate a lot but the premium ribs was okay only. Not fantastic. The pork belly with preserved veg was pretty good and the dish itself cost $8! Their signature bak chor mee wasn't very fantastic either. Overall, the experience was so-so only so if you happen to be nearby you could just give it a shot!

S$5.5 📍: Ah Seng Bah Kut Teh, Singapore

Based on the name of this dish, I expected this to have more pieces of "spare parts" but there was only two slices each of pig's stomach and liver, and no sign of a kidney. However, the minced pork sauce heaped over the "mee kia" noodles helped to make up for the lack. Fragrant and peppery, that, and the crispy "ikan bilis" were what boosted the dish to be appetising.
It's good that the sambal and sliced chilli came on the side because that meant I could taste the sauce of the noodles without the extra spiciness first.
Do note the accompanying bowl of soup is extremely peppery as it's the same soup used for the "bak kut teh" here.

Shared bak kut teh with @eileen_eats_alot and @_alextoh_ and we had the mixture of pork liver & kidney.
Soup is not bad + kidney is fresh. Didn't try the pork liver though but Eileen mentioned it has a bit 粉粉 texture!

All in all, I'd say the dishes we tried at this "bak kut teh" stall (it's inside the coffeeshop across the road from Bugis Junction) were decent. The obvious standout though was their Premium Pork Ribs - so tender and full of natural sweetness. Served in a bowl of peppery soup that's said to have been brewed for hours using a traditional recipe, the pork ribs proved so irresistible I abandoned my chopsticks to eat with my fingers. We also ended up ordering another bowl to share. Yup, that's how good it was.
