Good traditional and rustic teochew food. Ordered pig trotter jelly, oysters omelette, crispy chicken skin with sotong paste, prawn paste chicken, fish maw soup and orh née. Favorite was the oyster omelette and chicken skin with sotong paste. Both not commonly found.

A heritage dish that only has chye por and some chopped greens. I found it very ordinary. No wonder it's disappearing.
My favourite starter - Cold Dish Combi (冷盘) comprising 5 different types of items (century eggs, salad prawns, jelly pork trotter, jellyfish & prawn rolls) follow by other crowd-pleaser dishes - Braised Duck, Oyster Omelette and Lala with Garlic.
This good old traditional dining place, sure serves up great authentic Teochew food! 😋

This was a recommended dish at Ah Orh's. The egg is fluffy and served with a generous portion of oysters. However, I would skip this in favour of other dishes if you prefer the hawker center style of omelette which is slightly starchy.
One look and this screams oily but it really wasn't that bad! In fact, I enjoyed this signature dish here, fried very simply with some vegetables and a good amount of chye poh. Make sure to mix the chye poh in thoroughly for the lovely addition of crunch and savoury-sweetness. You can also get the Medium for $13 and Large for $18.
Scrolled through Instagram and this seemed to be THE dish to order. We weren't disappointed - just look at the number of fat oysters it comes with! A well seasoned fried omelette generously topped with fresh plump oysters, simple dish but what's there not to like? Just take note that this isn't the common starchy oyster omelette, just pure eggs! You can also get the Medium at $18 and Large at $25.
One of the recommended dishes here but I just couldn't stop thinking of JB Ah Meng's lalas instead. Ah Orh's Lala with Garlic came with decently fresh lalas but were not as sweet and plump. I would really have liked a thicker and more flavourful sauce with that fragrant garlicky kick! This here was a little too watered down for my liking. There's an option for these with chilli instead too. You can get the Medium for $18 and Large for $25.
This is one of the better oyster omelette in a restaurant. Good sized oysters and well fried omelette. Yummy

My family’s favourite dish comprises of 5 items including prawn roll, jellyfish, chilled jelly pork, salad prawn & money bag dumpling. I used to eat this dish growing up in the 1980s but it is not commonly found on zi char restaurants’ menus these days. I always order this traditional dish when we visit Ah Orh as it triggers old memories and a taste of nostalgia.

Perfectly steam! You can taste the freshness of the crabs and I totally love the roe and the soft shell of the crabs. It just taste better when you dip it into the orange sauce. Yum Yum.
