First stop: Ah Hua Kuay Teow. Our order of dry kuay teow got messed up into a soupy one, so it was sent back to the kitchen. Lots of people dining here; the lady doing the cooking was kept very busy - although it wasn't too crowded that we couldn't find a seat.
The soup was SO GOOD. No MSG feelz, plenty of kidney & liver (more of the former) which didn't have the powdery or smelly taste to it. Shiok.
Would love to try the soup version next time. I am totally a soupy girl, but I ordered dry because many others said it's better. I feel like the kuay teow soup would be pretty bomb as well though. 💣

The soup is light and just subtly sweet, not overpowered by any unpleasant iron taste that the liver might have. Though for something cooked over charcoal, the broth lacks that distinct smoky flavour it should have, resulting in just a very ordinary bowl of noodle soup.
