($4.20) it's my favourite canned food (peach) when I was younger but I don't like to eat real peach tbh lol. But I just felt that grass jelly was getting too little compared to peach lol 👀. But it's quite refreshing and also sweet aftertaste.
Ah Chew Dessert used to be my favourite Chinese Dessert Stall in Singapore.
Visited recently, and somehow, the desserts don't satisfy me anymore..
We got the following items:
-Hot Yam Paste ($3.50)
-Black Glutinuous Rice with Mixed Tang Yuan ($3.30 + $1.50)
Firstly, the portion sizes seems to have reduced for the yam paste. Secondly, the gingko nuts is chopped and blended all around in the yam paste, which is not to my preference, since I love yam paste that is pure, without gingko! So my satisfaction of the bowl was greatly reduced.
And since I love to order warm orh nee yam paste at Chinese dessert stalls, guess I will be patronising other stalls in future when looking for dessert places!
Visit to bugis is never complete without heading to Ah Chew for Desserts!
Got the Mango Sago with Pomelo ($5.20) and Grass Jelly with Lychee ($3.80). I am always craving for their grass jelly desserts when I am here somehow! Note to self NOT to get the bowl with pomelo next time, and just get the mango sago ($4.40) as the pomelo bites majority of the time made my dessert bowl more bitter!
Old school desserts that is affordable and delicious.
Comes with honey. It's pretty decent, quite bouncy. Has more bite than the normal packaged soft ones
The Custard was smooth and quite impressive, even though the taste is mild. The Cookies definitely added texture and sweetness, which worked v well tgt
Pretty good
