A1 Kway Chap Duck Rice (Kovan 209 Market & Food Centre)

A1 kway chap is located within Kovan 209 Hawker. And usually closes early around 3pm.

Occasionally, they open till dinner time.

The braised meat was rather good. Meats were all tasty. Intestine had no weird taste whatsoever, and looks like it was cleaned properly as well.

Chilli was also rather good.

Will return again 4 sure.

I forgot to photograph the meal, so here's the chilli sauce as substitute. A duck rice so mediocre I actually felt I would've enjoyed instant noodle more.

Kway Chup ($4.50)

The intestines were rather well braised but had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste. Wondered what was missing in the set and it was fishcake! Overall just a very average kway Chup.

Whenever we’re near Kovan and craving for some good kway chap, this is our go-to stall. The handmade kway always has a silky smooth texture, while the ingredients like the pig’s innards taste fresh without any ‘porky’ smell (if you know what i mean). Another good thing is they also sell duck meat too. We'd usually add some duck meat to complete our meal.

My all-time favourite breakfast!
