I thought this was a bird's nest drink! Then I realised it's a normal drink topped with bird's nest. It adds no taste by the way. Their drinks are expensive and we only bought because one for one.
Normal.
They're known for a variety of chicken styles. Crunch refers to their fried chicken that's baked. They also have deep-fried chicken and roasted chicken. Yang nyeom is sweet and spicy sauce. This chicken was okay, but a bit gimmicky.
Lame.
Like that lor.
Their rendition surprised me. Firstly, they didn't say black pepper. Secondly, it has bones.
Average.
The legendary dish where it all started. Not my first time obviously. I started eating this before it appeared in Singapore. This was good, but not the other dishes on this visit.
Metres away from the new Gourmet Park, here still serves better hawker food. This wine-laced soup was delicious, the fish and prawns were plump, and there's also scallops.
Although the char siew is fatty, this has six slices of char siew and two wantons. I understand when hawker brands in posh locations have to jack up prices, but give an acceptable meal for those prices so you don't give the public reason to slam you. Theirs are quite pathetic. I also ordered the soup version because they advertised it as tonkotsu, but I found it just wanton soup.
My first time. I didn't know this is a returning item. It tasted 90% like satay. But there's too much tough tendons.
Star dish of the day. The meat was fall-off-the-bone.
