A little too salty for me but overall a very savoury and tasty dish. So many great flavours coming together. It’s hard to go wrong with beef and egg!
We visited on a weekday evening and managed to get seats for two easily. The place is quite a casual eatery with good quality udon at reasonable prices. There is also 8% GST that will be charged in the final bill.
A satisfying, colourful poke bowl! I liked that there were so many options to choose from - you can customise your poke, sides, base, garnish, and sauces. There’s a small sauce bar at the side where you can squeeze sauces onto your bowl and add garnishing on your own, which is great if you prefer to decide how much of each goes in and all. There are signature bowls too for the indecisive people that find themselves paralysed by the multitude of choices.
Overall this is a fuss free, healthy “fast” food option, suitable for those who want something quick and casual. We’re not huge eaters so the Light size (75g poke) was just right for us. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and there was quite a bit of seating in the area.
The texture of the mochi muffin is quite interesting - very chewy but dense, like a cross between chewy bread and mochi. The matcha and white chocolate flavours are just average. Quite overpriced for the small size and average taste, wouldn’t buy again but it was okay just to try once, to experience a different texture and mouthfeel (don’t expect to be mind blown or anything).
We visited on a Sunday and it was fairly quiet. I like the concept of the cafe, it was very spacious and cozy. Perfect for chilling or doing some work over coffee.
Your traditional Bubur Cha Cha dessert, but with a decadent scoop of durian on top. To be honest I didn’t like the bubur cha cha itself - the coconut milk was good, there was your usual sweet potato and yam, but there was no sago, and the tapioca jellies were a little too large for my liking. It was like large chunks of sweet potato, yam and tapioca jelly all of the same size.
Didn’t enjoy this dessert too much, but I’ll probably give this place another chance and try something else next time.
The neon lights and mahjong theme is quite cute, makes it overall a pretty chill dessert place to sit at at night.
Coffee was smooth, had a suitable amount of milk, while still retaining its fragrant aroma.
To note, that there’s still an additional 10% service charge on top of the listed price of the coffee.
Service was good, staff were nice and friendly. Cafe was well lit and cozy, with both an indoor and outdoor seating area.
A standard Eggs Benedict but the Hollandaise sauce was pretty minimal and the poached egg was slightly overcooked, leading to quite a dry dish. We think their cakes are much better than their mains. Fortunately there’s the Burpple 1-for-1 Brunch deal so it made the food a lot more reasonably priced.
We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place wasn’t too crowded. The staff were friendly and the overall atmosphere of the cafe was warm and cozy.
Pretty standard breakfast set - each element was executed well. Nothing amazing or special though.
Honestly $28 seems quite high of a price tag for what’s actually on the plate, though there is no additional GST or service charge, which was a pleasant surprise. We used the Burpple 1-for-1 Brunch deal so it made it more reasonably priced.

If you like lemon meringue tarts, do give their lemon meringue cake a try - the lemon meringue, lemon curd and vanilla sponge was really refreshing. The only difference between the usual tarts and this cake is that the tarts are usually much more sour - this cake was more towards the sweet side, which I (and my sweet tooth) personally preferred.

Pistachio lovers - this is for you. The cake was dense, similar to a fruit or pound cake - but with pistachio bits embedded, adding that extra crunch. With the sweet pistachio cream all around and sour raspberry jelly in between - every bite was a burst of nutty and fruity. We enjoyed it very much. It is quite filling so do make some space in your tummy for it!

Tofu never looked so exciting to eat! Fried tofu egg cake adorned with lots of grated peanuts and sweet spicy soy - tasted like rojak but with tofu. I loved that the outside was crunchy with its fried skin, and the inside was soft tofu.
Great for sharing as it is quite big and strong tasting. It was also something sweet to alternate with the other spicy dishes we ordered, as this one wasn’t really spicy at all.
We visited on a weekday lunchtime and there was quite a bit of a queue even though we were slightly early. Fortunately we were just two people so we managed to get seats. Towards the peak lunch hour, there were already people standing around and waiting for seats.
Not too bad to try if you’re around the area and craving for Indonesian food.
Aka Kopi Peng Siew Dai. East meets West in this fusion coffee drink - with our all familiar traditional Robusta beans used in kopi, but brewed using an Espresso machine. The result is a smoother and creamier version of our local kopis, while retaining its usual roasted aroma, but less acidic. There was no condensed milk vs evaporated milk option, the uncle seemed to use both in our drink.
If you think the local kopi tends to be too strong and the western coffees tend not to hit you as hard, you might want to give this a try, as it might just hit the spot for you.
Really delicious and fragrant coffee at such an attractive price - it’s no wonder that the queues are long even on weekday afternoons. But I think it was worth the 20-30 minute wait, especially if you want some good coffee for half the price that you might need to pay at other coffee places.
Pretty yummy sandwiches here, a little bit towards the smaller side but alright if you’re not too hungry or if you’re planning to get some sides.
The Kurobuta Bacon was thin and crispy, perfect with the guacamole. The furikake aioli was a nice fusion touch. Along with the sunny side egg (there’s just something so satisfying about eggs in sandwiches), roasted pickled tomatoes and greens, the ingredients in this sandwich make it a great brunch pick.
The Sammies here are made with freshly baked Shokupan bread, which was soft and fluffy. I personally would’ve preferred if the bread slices were slightly thicker because well, I love bread!
The Burpple 1-for-1 deal made the sandwich quite an okay deal, otherwise I would’ve thought that the size of the sandwich is pretty small for its price. Wouldn’t get it on its own definitely. A pity there’s only one deal on Burpple Beyond for Sammies!
We visited on a weekend morning and it wasn’t too busy. There’s quite a bit of seating space on the second floor.
