Very nice spacious cafe that is children friendly with a small play area. Well-priced cafe grub.
Fried chicken was good, well fried and seasoned.
Corn waffle was not great, definitely room for improvement. The salad is also quite spicy and felt like an odd pairing.
Love Taiwanese mala soup as you can drink it. But probably not the best idea to get both peppery soups cos it was so spicy at the end for me.
Definitely not a cheap place for hotpot. It’s different from the usual haidilao as the soup are richer and comes with meat in the soup. The meat slices are expensive - but also one of the better ones I’ve had.
We spent about $300 for 5 pax. For similar style but cheaper I like txry. So probably will not return unless I want to have drinkable mala soup.
8.90 for 5 pieces. Slightly pricey but I will definitely order again if I’m in a group.
Very well cooked and well seasoned. Taste is nothing like what we can find here in singapore. I’m actually missing it now as I’m typing this....
12.90 for a bowl of guo qiao mixian which has preselected ingredients. We ordered one bowl each when we really shouldn’t. Were not expecting each bowl to be this big! I was struggling just to finish the ingredients.
I got the samgor special sour spicy soup in 1/10 and it was ok on the spicy level for me. Very interesting sour spicy soup which tbh was a little odd cos I can’t wrap my head around what it tastes like. That being said, i really liked it and very likely will order it again.
My dad got the mala at 1/5 spicy and for someone who can take spicy it’s really not a problem at all. The mala is really good too if you’re a fan of mala. Super fragrant but not overpowering nor oily.
My mum had the normal sour spicy which is also both bad but pales in comparison to mine. You can’t choose the spice level for the normal sour spicy soup.
Both my parents agreed that they will return for it so I would say it’s pretty good! But would suggest for small eaters to share one bowl instead.
Clockwise from top left: French onion soup, pam seared foie gras, escargots, oysters
We ordered lots of entrees as French is usually really good at those. Unfortunately only the escargots are yummy. (It should be - it’s their specialty) I went that day as they have free flow escargots for an additional price whole night! The toast on top of the escargot perfectly soaked up the garlic and herb juices. If you ever want to visit, do visit for the escargots! Probably the best I’ve had here.
Oysters were ok, my partner felt like it wasn’t cold enough.
French onion soup was ok as well. I would prefer it to be thicker. It was more of a clear consistency. But it could be preference.
Pan seared foie gras was ok too. I mean I always loved foie gras but this was nothing much to shout about.
My partner had the lamb chops for mains. It’s quite a small serving, he asked for medium but it came bloody.... so he sent it back and somehow it came back even rarer. How that happens we have no idea.
Taste wise nothing to get excited either. As per my other reviews, would not recommend until their team changes again.
Worst risotto I had in my life. Tasteless, not cooked fully. Luckily it’s the cheapest main in the menu
To be honest, I’m so disappointed with this place cos they have been around for so long and it’s really not that cheap. I believe their entire kitchen changed since phase 2 but that’s really a huge difference for restaurant standard if they can get Michelin guide for 3 years in a row.
And this is probably the worst place I’ve ate at for the last 3 years. Will not recommend.
My companion got this. The chicken was good. Juicy, flavourful. Much better than expected. But I found the avo way too sour for my liking.
It is ok for 1 for 1 at Sentosa

Rosti is a bit thin and crispy kind. Personally I prefer more potato and less crispy. But with 1 for 1 I can’t say no to it. Went on a Saturday the server at the table told us that we would need to spend an additional $20 on top of whatever we are using entertainer on. But the cashier told us need not to. So I am not too sure but definitely something to note.
We got a mojito anyway but would not recommend.
Slightly expensive and it’s really sweet when everything melts. But if your a sweet coffee lover like myself it is really interesting
I was lucky to secure a booking about 2-3 weeks prior. They open their bookings on the first day of the month before. It’s a 3-men team hence please be patient with replies. Only the $98 menu is available for dinner. Pretty affordable for Omakase style, chef Roy is amicable and engages in friendly banter.
Fish is good but nothing that really surprises me. My favourite sushi was the chutoro with soya sauce foam. But my favourite dish was the don at the end (pictured). So so good, I wished it was bigger. The crab temaki was pretty good too. Could do with more positive surprises but for the price nothing much to complain.
We also got a 300ml bottle of dassai 39 for $65 which was reasonable. Overall an enjoyable meal to celebrate my companion’s 30th.
