πŸ’¬: First time trying da la and it was super shiok and very fragrant, really really liked it! Not sure why people say Ri Ri is the best when jem's is 10x more fragrant

Firm, non-fishy, absolutely amazing. I love this izakaya place for its great food that goes so well with their alcohol menu, and extensive range of sake and sochu.

LEGENDARY. I've got so many good things to say but tldr; MUST ORDER

First of all the taste profile is v similar to Royce matcha Nama chocolate, which we all know is delicious.

On top of that, there's a biscuity crust at the bottom which adds to the textural variance.

It's densely fudge and has a bit of that cake-like pleasurable texture.

There's a bit of umami in the middle, but just a hint.

It's topped w bitter matcha powder, giving it class lol.

One of the best bakes I've had this year, if not THE best, and lately I've been eating a lot of bakes.

My brother is very picky and he usually says it's not bad or decent, he came to me of his own accord and told me this was v good.

Super worth with burpple beyond. Got a total of 16 sushis for $12.9 nett! Staff were friendly and food was good. There was cucumber, crab meat, avocado at the centre of the sushi and a thin slice of salmon with mentaiko sauce. Good when craving sushi. Not the best in quality but was worth for its price. Would definitely return here again!

i don’t think i’ve ever found another place that sells quality japanese food at such a good price before! i had the 𝙆𝙖𝙯𝙀𝙠π™ͺ π˜Ώπ™€π™£ [$12.9] β€” the portion was great, and the sashimi was fresh too! each slice was not exactly the thickest but reasonably thick for its price point πŸ‘πŸ» however, kazoku shares a common space with other stalls as well, so the area can get pretty crowded and loud, but it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

I really enjoyed the food and I went to ask the boss and chefs if they have any interesting I could share. The chef was really friendly and said β€œwe try our best”:) will definitely be back for more!

Kazoku is part of a group of eateries in To-gather Kitchen & Bar at the ground floor of Goldhill Plaza. The beauty of this coffee shop is that you get a wide selection of affordably priced international cuisine in one single location.

For just $12.90, you get their signature Kazoku don which comes with salmon, tuna, swordfish, octopus, scallop and salmon roe on top of sushi rice. You are definitely not getting otoro at this price but I was pleasantly surprised at how good their sashimi was.

For those who prefers their seafood "medium rare" instead of "rare", Kazoku had a aburi mentai salmon don for $11.90. I personally prefer the Kazoku don where you can taste the natural sweetness of fresh sashimi.

For those who can't make up their minds, you can have both with #burpplebeyond for the price of one!

I loved the taste of the truffle on the pizza (wished it was stronger, but great effort). Pink sauce tasted absolutely delicious and served with a generous topping of fresh crab meat. Service staff were extremely friendly. Would totally come back here again!

Generous portions and great atmosphere. Paid $18 for two bowls of combo Don, worth!

Previously known as Torii Izakaya, this snazzy Japanese resto-bar at Duxton has since revamped. You're here for their decadent Truffled Beef Donburi ($28) featuring a generous beef slices, caviar, truffle mayo, foie gras and an onsen egg. Also good are the Pork Belly Garlic Fried Rice ($19) with succulent grilled pork belly, fried egg, garlic and scallion and Hearty Toro ($28) maxi for sharing.

Highly recommend the two bowls we got - truffle beef bowl and unagi bowl! Ingredients and toppings were generous and rice was served piping hot. Will be back!

Got the Truffle Beef Bowl ($14.90), Glazed Unagi Bowl ($16.90) that were flavour-packed and really tasty.

Paired them with their Harmony and Mountain Oolong ($5) kombucha - would recommend the lighter Mountain Oolong for kombucha newbies.

Also had Truffle Fries ($7.90) on the side, which was a decent portion with decent flavour.
