The Goodburger’s a food truck that does some really good burgers, except that they use Impossible meat instead of beef. The founders are environmentally conscious and passionate about crafting food that’s just as delicious without compromising on taste.

I personally quite enjoy Impossible meat and find it the most similar in texture and taste to beef compared to other plant-based meat. It also works particularly well in a burger as the sauce tends to mask any residual soy flavour. The only thing is that the texture is sort of more similar to minced meat or a Japanese hamburg to me, but if this was offered as an alternative to beef, I wouldn’t mind having it, so I was excited to see how @thegoodburgersg would do it. P.s. I tried their burgers previously but only had a single patty and did not like it as much. Definitely go for a double patty for a more satisfying bun to meat ratio.

They let us try all three burgers on their menu and I definitely loved the second burger, the Black Tie, the best. The Black Tie is their fancier burger with cheese, truffle aoili and rocket. Because I really like the taste of rocket, this really stood out and enhanced the flavour profile of the burger. (But if you don’t, this may not be for you.) I also enjoyed the creamy truffle aoili which wasn’t too heavy, although the taste of truffle wasn’t very apparent throughout.

Overall, it was a good experience! It’s on the pricier side, but that’s to be expected given that Impossible meat isn’t cheap. Each burger comes with crispy shoestring fries too, so that’s a plus. If you would like to check them out, they’re stationed at Marina Bay at the Promontory (12-4pm)and next to MBS (5-9pm) when they don’t have an event.

Thanks @burpple for the eat up and @thegoodburgersg for the food!

Prolly the best pasta I’ve had altho it’s a little oily. King prawns were rly plump 🤪 !!

Bubz got the PS burger and topped up for truffle fries instead of normal shoestring fries ($5++). Didn’t feel that the truffle fries were that great tho!! Expected a little more since it’s so raved about but I guess the dipping sauce (tomyum mayo ??) tasted really unique.

Both mains were $29.5++

Really lovely ambience for celebrations

Pesto sauce went rly well w the toast!! Had poached eggs and it had a really nice 00ze to it! Definitely returning to this place to have brunch 🤙🏻

Pulled pork and perfectly poached eggs (ultra flowy centre!!) drizzled with hollandaise atop two thick Hokkaido brioche toasts + a side serving of white bean tomato salad. The pulled pork was on the sweeter side so I appreciated that it was paired with the thicker, fluffier Hokkaido brioche to balance out the flavours. And just in case you need some flavours to complement the dish and give an added spicy kick at the same time, the salsa sauce served separately just does the trick.

Pro tip: Came in the evening around 6.45pm and snagged a nice, cozy window seat. It was an idyllic evening date made super affordable with burpple beyond ☺️☺️

📌my go to place to grab yummy and healthy food!!

The cauliflower fried rice was okay, chicken was a little dry but ya since it’s supposed to be healthy I’m not complaining much. The kungpao chicken was rly flavourful!! Cashew nuts gave the dish a nice crunch.

Was a little skeptical bc how good can bibimbap be anyways!! Really simple dish but the sauce rly adds flavour to it. They were super generous w their portions esp the chicken!!

The plating of this dish was like an art piece. Two different colors separated by a huge juicy chunk of salmon. It even came with some flower petals. Efforts for the design!!

The salmon was cooked well done - soft and succulent. The sauce was complemented with the tasty miso sauce, and creamy bouillabaisse foam. The three elements came well together - both in terms of taste and texture. It was a really interesting texture with the foam - it’s as though I’m eating a piece of cake with the cream and cake texture!!!

Would recommend salmon-lovers to try it! Definitely a different experience.

Situated in a secluded and serene corner of Dempsey, this is a perfect place to chill and have a lazy weekend brunch. I usually don’t order avocado on toast outside but their avocado, poached eggs and smoked salmon on sourdough ($27) was simple yet delicious. The avocado was not too finely smashed and together with the feta cheese, it was indeed very palatable. This is how avo on toast should be done. Didn’t had space for their home made sweet treats but would be back again for sure.

Super colourful, loved the addition of the dukkah which provides a unique taste to the smashed avo. Presentation skills 100/100 and the smashed avo was rly flavourful w the furikake too. Added pomegranates for extra colour, juiciness n a burst of sweet
