Organic hen's egg 🐓 poached for 55 minutes, then smoked with rosemary, and lastly topped with spring pea and chorizo iberico. The presentation on its own is superb, served in an egg basket over dry ice. A definite winner 🏆.

True to its cheeky name, Non Entrée Desserts is a new café on Rangoon Road that serves all things dessert. It occupies the spot of now-defunct Woodshed, and is vibrantly decked out in bright yellow, white and black. Expect a fun menu of plated desserts that are intricately designed, both in terms of flavour and aesthetics. Be sure to try the Cherry Pop ($13.90) — a giant "cherry" that will create a little carnival in your mouth thanks to boisterous elements like the spicy, sour cherry sorbet and earl grey jelly. For something simple but lovely, go for the Pistachio Raspberry ($8.90) cake, which sees a perfect marriage of berries and nuts. Pop by with a friend or two (so you can sample more) after a good meal in the area!

Ordered the Garlic & Cheese Toast ($13.90) and I was pretty impressed by the combination of sweet and savoury. The cheese topping was 💯! A must-order, although a tad overpriced.

Also tried the BBQ Chicken and the Tuna & Egg wraps ($9.90/wrap) which were very average (they came with a promotional deal - a free Americano/tea with every wrap but otherwise it's not very worth it).

Their #cheese #fries here are extremely cheesy! Love their nacho cheese and crispy fries, so many thumbs up! I can totally eat like 2 tubes of it 😁😁😁!

Kept going back to get my thai milk tea fix, partly cos it comes in a bottle that I can bring home ($3.90). Their thai rose milk tea has got to be my favourite of the 3 flavours!! Another place to get decent, value-for-money Thai milk tea would be Nam's brewing Thai tea & coffee over at Far East square.

Still remains my fave ramen place & it seems it's our girly gatherings venue too. Only ever went there with my gals 😋

Open for dine-in orders not too long ago is Out of the Cake Box, a cakery specialising in homestyle cakes and bespoke creations. Besides crafting lovely cakes, their choux pastries filled with crème of locally-inspired flavours are particularly noteworthy. Try their Earl Grey-Kaya Gnome Dome or Horlicks Gnome Dome - filled with Horlicks and hazelnut crème pâtissière. For more sweets of local flavours, there's also their Chendol Fudge Cake, made up of layers of gula melaka sponge cake and alternating layers of gula melaka fudge. You ought to head down soon for a taste of some out of the (cake) box creations. See what we did there? ;)

Finally got to try out one of the dish for ultimate hawker fest 2014, the Prata Blaster! 👳
Their signature crispy prata topped up with Turkey Ham, Poached egg and their own Indian hollandaise sauce, the dish is absolutely perfect when fused together! Just wow ☺️, so yummy!

if u love nachos, cheese & chicken, you will love this! And the food here so good. Surprise find in a cafe!! 😋😋

Such comfort food ☺️ I actually prefer the curry here more than the beach road scissors cut curry rice. The pork chop was a little thin and dry but the other dishes were all good. Went so well with the curry rice!

A two weeks old cafe - Bell's Cottage Cafe offers a mix-and-match concept where you can choose the type of main you desire such as croissant, boule, focaccia, burger, waffle or pancake and stuff them with fillings such as egg mayo, tuna, ham and more for a savoury meal. Or you can simply pair the main with a scoop of gelato of your choice to make it a dessert meal.

I decided to go for the Cottage special that comes with a charcoal burger bun, churros sticks and chocolate dip on a platter; finally selected the Honey Lavender and Pistachio flavour for my gelato. Congrats to another new cafe in the West!
