Very pleasantly surprised by the quality! With just a little fats, this roast duck was very well done and had a lightly crisp skin. The gravy was also flavorful, and all their sauces so good can't decide which to dip each bite!

The noodles are slightly different from your usual meepok or meekia, absorbs the delicious gravy super well! The 5 bucks one comes with four slices of 'abalone' and 5 meatballs, with a generous serving of meat and mushrooms. The soup was also really nice with a slight umami twist.

We came here for the 3 bucks sashimi but couldn't resist ordering other stuff on the main menu! While the portion is a little small, the roll which had mentai on top and mozzarella inside - yummy combination! Definitely will be heading back another day for the 50% off rolls promo 😋

So sinful but really quite good! Prices around 16-20.

While the food is definitely good and very photogenic, I'm not sure if I'll queue up to an hour to dine here during peak hour. This kimchi fried rice had a tzechar wokhei taste that i felt overpowered the kimchi a little too much! But the beef was quite tender (although slightly dry). The truffle fries definitely a must try! Visit on weekdays to avoid the crowds.

Ichiban serves decent Japanese food at decent prices - go for the value for money sets! Good enough to satisfy my family's random cravings for sashimi and jap food.

The taste of the rice was very unexpected - more savory saucy taste than the usual sweet and vinegary sushi rice you'll have normally! Some may find this interesting, with the pickles as well, but it didn't quite suit my taste. The sashimi also didn't feel particularly fresh except the scallops. I would top up a few more dollars for the chirashi at The Sushi Bar any day.

Pleasantly surprised by the food here! Look at the abalone clams and scallops in the claypot dish! And the half roast duck was also yummy and not too fat, can eat all the crispy skin without feeling too guilty :P other than being a little salty, everything else was good and also decently priced. 66 bucks for three people after a 10% discount.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The herbal broth was lovely (and refillable) the pork ribs tender and meaty. Was pleasantly surprised to find other pork parts like stomach and liver in both the soup and dry versions. Order the extra portion of crispy taukee dipped in the braised gravy too!

Quite disappointed with this; while the chicken sauce was nice and gingery, this dish was basically just a few pieces of bony chicken and a few slices of lap cheong on a whole claypot full of rice. Most of the time you're just eating hot plain rice with black sauce. A waste of calories. 10 bucks.

We waited a good 35 minutes for this on a Saturday night, but it was so worth the wait! This bowl of meesua came with a generous amount of pig organ and lean meat. Dip the ingredients in the chili soy sauce for a good kick and if you're up for the heat throw in the chili padi into your soup too. The soup is thick and flavorful with a hint of herbal taste but not too heavy at all. I wiped out the whole bowl! Addictive stuff.

Second visit here! Had a taste of their salmon mushroom truffle pasta and swimmer crab pasta this time and both were pretty decent. The ambience of this place is really cosy, and I love the sofa seats especially. Although the waffle is small it's quite a steal at 12 bucks for three scoops of ice cream! Earl grey flavor definitely worth a try. Give the rum coconut a miss though, the rum was too mild in fact it didn't quite taste like anything at all.
