This was slightly disappointing. The noodles weren't keeping in shape and wasn't even tasty. With few ramen burger places around, this had the potential but I doubt many would return after the first try.
VERY expensive drinks here is how they make their money! Compulsory for everyone to purchase at least one drink. But well, it's still a very nice place for the live music and ambience on special occasions I guess. The food is a lot more decently priced.
Tapas for sharing! Overall pretty good but portions smaller than I expected. Truffle fries truffle taste slightly milder as well.
Decent Chinese restaurant at the gardens! This is probably the most convenient place to have a lunch in between visiting the two conservatories. The dimsum was of pretty good quality and surprisingly decently priced too. Get a 15% off if you have your tickets too!
Finally tried carpenter and cook! Very chill and cosy place for some coffee and desserts. This passion fruit meringue was really delicious, with a refreshing custard that held the right level of sourness.
Everything about this bowl of noodles was great, except the noodles. Would have been nicer if they used a more la-mian sort of noodle rather than this wonton mee kind! Especially enjoyed the potato prawn fritter which on first bite felt like potato chips π The dumplings were also of quality, with legit pieces of prawns. Overall worth a try but not quite worth queuing for during lunch peak hour; the queue seriously crawls.
Second time at this place! This cod fish was very well done, and the mash potato smooth and creamy too. Only disappointment was the malnutrition-ed asparagus. Otherwise, another good dining experience in the gardens :)
Didn't have much faith in this place just cos its under the sakae group but decided to give it a try one afternoon anyway since there was a 50% promo going on. This salmon sashimi platter was around 14 bucks after discount which was pretty decent but nothing else in this restaurant would be worth it at all without the promo, considering the quality is just so average.
Located at Labrador park this place is kind of out of the way but worth traveling for! Plenty of parking at this pretty run down place if you're driving. The food here is really good and priced decently, featuring the famed ultra man chicken (salted egg chicken because εΈθθΆ δΊΊοΌand I also loved the hot plate tofu! Remember to order the sour plum lime drink too, it totally completes the Malaysian feels at this place.
So happy this opened just before the end of our internship. Super yummy for 16 bucks! Worthy of a TGIF celebratory lunch.
Again this was quite expensive for toast but I'll admit it was really good! We had the garlic cheese and honey butter ones. This place is really ulu so better get there by car!
Being so highly reviewed, we had pretty high expectations and I think the bingsu here fell slightly short. Everything on the top was really good but we were expecting some more ingredients like red beans below the ice but it was just plain ice at the bottom. Worth a try but probably not worth returning considering the hefty price tag!
