Where do I even start...this Chirashi Don lovingly prepared by the chefs at The Sushi Bar deserve all the love in the world. Going at a $24.90++, it may seem a little pricier than usual but I assure you it is well worth every single cent. You get 3 crazily thick slices of hamachi, mekaijiki, maguro, salmon, 2 slices of beautifully torched aburi salmon, 2 slices of exquisite tamago, 2 blobs of fresh scallops...only to end it off with a huge dollop of ikura. For the price paid, it’s actually really worth it for such quality and quantity, I was satiated after this amazebowl. It’s really the best Chirashi I’ve had in Singapore & everyone needs to try this šŸ˜«šŸ’ÆšŸ’¦šŸ£. P.s. don’t bother going for the basic chirashi don, it’s prices at $19.90++ but it’s essentially a bara chirashi don which paled in comparison (the table next to me ordered it haha).

Going at $15.80++ if I’m not wrong, Tenten dishes out a decent bowl of Tendon for those around City Hall. As usual, the bed of Japanese rice was decorated with a generous amount of toppings from chicken to bacon and to my most favourite tempura item; mushrooms! Portion was alright for 1 person and I really liked he pickles haha. Life hack: They have the tendon in a takeaway box going for only $7.80! What a steal, only saw it upon paying the bill lol.

This came at 21.90++ and it was worth every single cent. Made me reminisce my time eating Hitsumabushi in Nagoya, the birthplace of the dish. Portion was a tad small but it was presented very well and with warm service from the Yayoi team.

Seriously some days the queue is ridiculous but people (like me) still choose to wait. There’s just something about Genki that’s so addictive, is it the trains on which the food comes to us? I’ll never know, but what I know is my must buys at Genki. The Chirashi Don, mentaiko salmon and spicy salmon roll. That’s really all I need!

The usual price of the pork and chicken bowl was 9.90 but I visited Flaming Don on the 1st of April where they were having a 1 for 1 april fool’s deal! At 4.95, there’s really nothing to complain about. Liked how the egg mixed well with the rice and the pork slices. However, personally don’t think I’d come back again if not for the promo!

Situated in Swissotel, I guess not-so-local prices are expected in this literally, atas, Kopi Tiam. Food was good though, rich beef rendang and salted egg prawns which were fried and prepared the local way, just the way I like it. Kudos to the chefs for preparing the beef rendang in such a way that the beef was still tender and easy to chew on. Preparation was SLOW though, like, really slow, which is something the management has to work on because it has happened 3 of the 3 times I visisted Kopi Tiam. So do be prepared to wait during peak periods.

I always grab my lunch here cause it’s on the way to my school and its a simple poke meal which served up fresh salmon! Their tuna cubes aren’t the freshest but are still ok, personally prefer the salmon more. I’d recommend the original one and the sesame sauce option, which were both pretty good. Do get a voucher on FAVE for some discounts!

When I saw this item on the menu I knew I just had to get it because I love foie gras in any form! The French Affection - Ribeye was a 280g Black Angus Ribeye served with sautƩed Spinach and crispy Sweet Potato Chips which hit everything well. It comes at a price tag of $32 and Foie Gras was an additional $6, bringing the dish to $38++ The ribeye was cooked well to a medium rare as requested and the foie gras was a tad small but yummy anyway. Nice place for a relaxing brunch on a Sunday morning, was really quiet and nice and the service was impeccable too!

Going at $22, the Full Works definitely did keep me full enough till dinner! The scrambled eggs and mushrooms atop the broiche bread was cooked well, eggs with the right consistency and mushrooms with the right flavour. Pommes de Noisettes (really just potato balls lol) were fried well too! Really nice ambience in the middle of the beautiful National Museum. Served ice cream sandwiches too which was a great end to my brunch!

Headed by budding entrepreneurs who revamped the stall passed on from their parents, the stall is digitalized, menu was fully digital and accepted grabpay, which was the reason why I was there actually. Got a 2 person set meal for $10, and there was a good amount of soy sauce chicken which was tender and succulent, so juicy! The rice was so good even on it’s own. Do give them a try!

Got this during their promo where their bowls were going for 50% off. A visual spectacle - they’d flame the bowl in front of you. Wagyu Australian beef was tender and tasty with a good beefy smell and the egg atop the mound of beef topped it off well!
