I haven't been very adventurous with Spanish food in Singapore BUTTTTT I think I found my new favourite paella.

Made with fideos noodles (similar to vermicelli), this squid ink version from Tapas Club is then topped with clams and small cubes of squid.

Give it a good mix (don't miss out on the charred bits on the sides) before serving. Doesn't look that appetizing nor flavourful but I was truly blown away by how tasty it was!

In short, great flavour, portion is just right for two to share and so affordable ($25)! IMMA BE BACK!! #Burpproved

P.S. I think their weekday lunch menu serves a one person portion for under $20 (something like $13-15?). 😱

This is the new yakult in town.

Bought a bottle of Pure Amazake to add into my breakfast routine (could substitute water in smoothies, milk in oats etc) and it's said to help with digestion and detox.

On its own, it's hella sweet, which is why Amamoto mixes it with cold pressed juices or unsweetened soy milk for their drinks.

If I work in the CBD, I'll definitely make a pit stop every week to have their cold Roasted Soybean β€” so refreshing! #Burpproved

This is probably a sweet tooth's dream come true! The peeps at Lickety aren't shy about giving out sugar rushes β€” with their orange-sized ice creams, generous drizzling of sauces and wide variety of toppings.

Thankfully, i shared this Egglet Waffles with many (I think six?) so it didn't amount to much. They have two egglet waffle flavours, buttermilk and red velvet. We went with the latter and ordered two scoops to go with it.

We got the Earl Grey and Fig as well as the Snickers Bar Swirl, both creamy and intense with flavourful. Definitely recommend getting if you're in the area! #Burpproved

Decided to go against what the recommended pizza was (Salmon, just in case you were wondering), and was pleasantly surprised by this thin-crusted Aubergine pizza.

The tomato-based pizza is slathered with a curry mayo, topped with thin slices of aubergine and okra and a generous shower of soon-to-be-gooey cheddar cheese. Definitely wasn't expecting this to be as cheesy but hey, no complains from me! #Burpproved

Be prepared to succumb to this glorious plate of gravy-ladened dish! I always had my crabs fried with sauces, so having noodles included is a first for me.

I love me a good pork belly. These pork belly slices are oh-so-tender and juicy β€” love it! There's an option to have the grain bowl with Garlic Japanese Rice or Quinoa Salad, and I went for Garlic Japanese Rice (no ragrets). The grain bowl also comes with a refreshing cucumber salad, miso cream (best to mix it in) and an egg. #Burpproved

I love tater tots. I love okonomiyaki. Bam! What's not to like about this appetizer?

Great as a snack after class and I love how generous they are with the tater tots. Yummos. #Burpproved

Ever since I had my first skillet cookie at Fynn's, I've been on the lookout for more and I'm glad to have found this at Kara Cafe & Dessert Bar. It's a REALLY big cookie base so best to share with three or more friends. Love how intense the peanut butter taste is in the cookie, and the salted speculoos ice cream is creamy, milky and silky β€” in short, amazing. #Burpproved

If you've always wanted to try puffer fish, look no further. Guenpin brings in puffer fish straight from its trawler in Japan, so prices are kept affordable for customers. Don't worry, the poisonous parts are taken out in Japan so there's no tingling sensation whatsoever.

For the full experience, splurge on the Zeitaku ($168 for one pax, but can be shared amongst two). The nine-course meal allows you to try puffer fish cooked in a variety of ways β€” from raw to being in a hotpot and grilled.

But if you've only got budget for one dish to try, let it be the thick sliced puffer fish sashimi. It's unlike anything I've tried before β€” it's got a firm bite, but not as chewy as octopus and it isn't as fishy as some of the other raw sashimi slices. #Burpproved

Located in the old Picket and Rail showroom along Mandai Road (just a short 5 minute drive from yew tee), this has been my go-to zi char spot since six years ago.

I was first introduced to Cafe 566 by my boyfriend's parents. There are plenty of seats, service staff are friendly and the food is always so darn tasty β€” which is why we always return every weekend! They've changed quite a few chefs (there was a period of time when the kitchen was helmed by a Thai chef and the tom yum goong was bombzz) and now the food has been better than ever.

One of my favourite dishes is the Marmite chicken that is unbelievably crispy on the outside yet juicy and tender on the inside. It's a hit with all the customers and I like how they are so generous with their marmite glaze 🀀 #Burpproved

For a sashimi-and-skewer-centric restaurant, this Kurobuta (black pork) Katsu exceeded my expectation and turned out to be one of my recommended dishes here.

Deep-fried to a beautiful golden brown, the exterior is so unbelievably crisp and light, there's no way you can chow down without disturbing the peace of your neighbor. πŸ˜‚ I like how juicy and tender the black pork is, despite it going into the deep fryer. For $17.50, it's definitely well worth the money. #Burpproved

It was a rainy Saturday afternoon, which meant gravitating towards all things soup! Saw this newly opened stall in Bukit Timah Market and Food Centre and I decided to go for the Crayfish Seafood Soup ($10 for individual, $28 for three pax). I was sharing this so I added on extra clams ($2 for 12 or 13 shells, but who's counting right?) and a scallop just because.

The dish did not come with any complimentary carbs, and while i'm mostly a rice ($0.50) kinda girl, i decided to listen to the uncle's recommendation and went for the handmade noodles ($0.50). First bite and i was hooked! Omg found a new place that serves the Putien style lor mee, at a fraction of the price! #Huatah The noodles were soft, absorbed the flavourful broth almost immediately and so so good to eat on a rainy day. πŸ˜‹

Speaking of the broth, it's simmered for over six hours daily and made with lots of clams and flower crabs. Upon ordering, the uncle (who turns out to be the father of the owner running the famous Changi Village Woon Woon Pek Beehoon) throws in your ingredients, noodles and soup broth into a wok. The glorious mess is then cooked in the wok for their signature wok hei taste before serving.

I really liked how fresh the ingredients tasted (the Taman fish was plump and there were so many slices! I lost count), the naturally sweet and flavourful soup stock and the noodles! #Burpproved
