From the Burpple community

This no-name stall has been serving since before 1998, and has since come to be known by its location. Queues tend to stretch up to 40 minutes.
.
Their rendition features a vibrant piping hot broth, rich with coconut milk, fermented dried shrimp, laksa leaves, and other spices. Carries lovely savoury milky spicy flavour.
.
The long smooth rice vermicelli noodles are chewy with mild grainy sweet flavour, and the fiery chunky sambal belachan lends a savoury salty spicy kick.
.
Garnished with crisp bean sprouts with vegetal sweet flavour, springy fish cake with savoury salty flavour, spongy tofu puffs with grainy savoury spicy flavour, bouncy hard boiled egg with eggy sweet flavour, and juicy plump blood cockles with mineral salty briny flavour.
.
Uniquely, they also add strips of crab stick surimi, soft with mild sweet savoury notes.

928 Laksa is no new kid on the block, it’s been seeing a steady and long queue of customers for many years and is one of our favourite foods from Yishun. For $4.10 you get a generous bowl of laksa, filled with aromatic lemak laksa broth that’s hit with the right blend of spices that give you so so much nostalgia. We opted to switch out the crab stick and cockles and the aunty kindly gave us more beancurd puffs and egg. No doubt, it’s one of the BEST laksa’s in SG.

Laksa (S$3.80/ large)
Additional S$0.30 for takeaway container

30 years and still going strong, the legendary 928 Yishun Laksa is one that you need to have it in your lifetime.🔥
A place that give an old school vibe, a bowl that brings back memories and a taste to be remembered for life.

Laksa(Big)($3.50)🍜😋
Traditional taste at its finest as great as it used to be ever since how I remembered from young. The same old classic taste of slight creamy, coconutty and hearty curry broth which made from an extensive research of rempah to achieve today taste, topped with fishcakes, crab meat, tau pok, hard-boiled egg, bean sprouts and cockles always give great pleasure to the one who have it.
Recommend to thicken the curry by adding their homemade shrimp sambal and enjoy the enhanced taste and feel the different texture in the broth. Also, remember to add daun kesum to give more aromatic flavour.
Price have increase over time (still affordable) but that did not stop the snaking queue of people from buying it. So if you want, be prepare to queue else try to avoid peak hours.🤗

Small bowl @ $3

Still as delicious as I remember it to be. But i also remember it used to be $2something for the small bowl but as with everything else the price has gone up.

Limited seats but always long queue so come with people to chope seats. But if you are here alone, it's still okay as people finish eating quite quickly and won't stay long.

Note 📝 : Please do not sit at the dessert side to eat Laksa even when the seats at Laksa side are full. (Although over the years saw many idiots who did that!) Especially when bespectacled dessert stall boss is around. It will cause a war.
Both sides fell out ever since the laksa moved out of the currently popiah stall next to the dessert stall.
